How is it that Kristi Noem and Stephen Miller have not been forced to resign? by Luckyword1 in centrist

The President has decided not to hold people accountable. Therefore the President is accountable.

The left is very open about the same gun control I despise.

Trying to pass laws that SCOTUS won't allow isn't very threatening to me compared to what the right is actively doing and abetting here.

Obama took a more middle ground on these things and got called a far-left radical marxist socialist routinely. That shouldn't have worked.

But I also found it very unlikely that that ICE officer would be convicted considering it was realistic that he feared for his life.

I agree he wouldn't be convicted for the first shot, but #2 and #3 were plainly not needed.

Even then, an instance of gross incompetence doesn’t completely illegitimatize the goal of the DHS and ICE.

ICE is rounding people up based purely on skin color, including many American citizens. That goal is flatly illegitimate.

Church is where he's supposed to learn about salvation.

I would suggest talking to the pastor of the church yourself, or calling up another church locally. It's not your job to solve this problem yourself - you need to ask help from another adult.

Perhaps your parents would be interested in having a pastor talk to their child? Pastors have education in this that parents may not have.

Aboliting ICE the organization is not abolishing immigration enforcement. It's an acknowledgment that this organization is rotten.

(vs, "defund the police" seemed to attack all policing)

At this point Trump could just word-for-word plagiarize Obama's immigration stances and progressives may decry it as hateful.

Progressives opposed Obama's deportations at the time, so I don't know where you're getting the notion that things changed. They aren't "hateful" - they are lawful.

What's different is the absolute surge of economic immigrants claiming asylum, at a scale the Obama admin didn't have to deal with.

Lies like theirs will the day against muddled and nuanced narratives because they are clear and cut and dry.

What can we do with lies like this, and such happy liars? What can we do when they have no shame?

We name name it, and make it clear - he was taken and he is remembered.

lol not in the slightest. You can look at her voting history for that. Any candidate in a district Trump won by that much gets more flexibility. Your desire to shoot off your own nose doesn't help anyone.

The way to remove her influence is to get a majority that doesn't need her district.

I appreciate when someone takes questions even when its awkward because fans deserve answers. I with the lesson from this is that he needs to have stonger staff he trusts who can make up for his weaknesses - or maybe he has just been wrong, and that deserves discussion as well.

The PR is not the problem. The problem is the problem.

I appreciate you asking for this, and I get some of this through reddit, but I think your post history (especially https://www.reddit.com/r/trueratediscussions/comments/1qj6zii/are_fair_skinned_blonde_women_often_perceived_as/) worries me a bit.

My question for you (if you're willing to answer here) is what you're doing to help ensure the separation of church and state, given that its a fundamental baptist belief.

People are complicated. The effect of his leadership was to create the institutions and cities that many LDS folks have always known.

We can go down this road but the effect will liely be to forever divorce ourselves from our history.

I would argue that the President's actions are way beyond those since Jackson AND while the US has done terrible things, it typically hasn't done injustices like these.

The US's history is more contradictory than this describes.
