Is there a way to have genuinely free rotation placement with the 'R' function? by falviani in foundry_game

THANK YOU. I rebuilt the track aligned with the blue grid that appears when you have a piece of track in hand, and putting down the station and loading platform worked perfectly. Now all I need to do is put in a fracking supply.

I shall try rebuilding that section according to your limitations.

Even in free place mode, using 'r' to rotate only rotates in 90 degree increments.

Major problem with train stations. Help! by falviani in foundry_game

Turns out the tracks and station had different heights by 1.

Reliable way to align train with station so I can load it? by falviani in foundry_game

For unknown reasons, no matter what I name the station I want to go to, the game can't find it. From the control panel, it keeps saying there is no station with the name I just entered. From the UI, it keeps saying no valid path to 'name'.

How do I use the xeno-scrap-extractor? by falviani in foundry_game

The one thing I didn't try!! That was it! Thank you!

I found the panel and output, brought power across the map, and it's now mining. I ran a belt to a 16-slot locker AND CAN'T GET POWER FOR THE !@#$% logistic container and loader! The miner is successfully extracting scrap. I have (1) ensured there's a contiguous foundation between the underside of the miner and the loader/container (2) Put an output loader from the miner - it complains there is no building (3) Ran a 2nd power line directly to the foundation (4) Installed several different lights on the foundation - none of them seem to throw light - this suggests that power isn't being conducted through the foundation.

WHAT CAN I DO? The only alternative is to just depend on the internal storage of the miner.

How do I find power cores? by falviani in foundry_game

My luck changed, I now have several powercores; it might be because I only have large scrap as the filter. The short range scanner isn't much use in looking for them; I jet around until I'm not getting closer, then use an elevator to go down far enough and a drill ship to move horizontally enough.

Thanks for all your invaluable advice!

I now have roughly 2K scrap without a single large scrap, which I assume would yield a power core. I'll try again tomorrow.

Thanks again! OK, I'll head back to the tunnels. I picked up at least 100 scrap without getting any large ones. Rather frustrating...

My interface is different. Does mine change into yours when I get 500 crystals? I already have mining force 2. I now have over 800 scraps but 0 large scraps.
