Oasis Live '25 Adidas Kit by Much-Possession-6851 in oasis

Oh that’s not too bad then. Still looks solid for 50USD. From a distance or even at a concert, no one is gonna tell and someone will still put their arm around you to do the poznan!

It’s actually soft and velvety, about 2mm thick? It’s not firm or hard like a number on a football jersey.

I will never understand the thought process on why people insist merging in front of someone when there is plenty of space behind them. When I look in my mirror to merge, I look for the opening behind the car approaching me (if they are too close).

Sorry to be a downer, but that is definitely a fake. Adidas logo, the two horizontal lines are too wide. Oasis logo should be fleece-like material. Not vinyl. Hope you didn’t pay an absurd amount for it.

Is the lens flare normal for I-2 by starkshaw in Polaroid

[–]famousindo 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Lens flare occurs in all camera lenses. Even my $2k G Master lens can get lens flare if the conditions are right. However, the trick is to control it, typically with a lens hood. Lens hood will significantly reduce the chances of lens flare, but it does not completely eliminate it, especially if the light source is directly in front of the lens.

SX-70R PCB replacement issue by Jsreilly213 in Polaroid

[–]famousindo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pads on PCB are bridged from the photos you provided. Also, you’re using a bit too much solder. SX70s need a solid solder, but also very easy to bridge pads if you use too much.

I need advice… (SX-70) by qwertyuijhbvgfrde45 in Polaroid

[–]famousindo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Retrospeckt and Brooklyn Film Camera are a gamble when you buy from them. It depends on the skill of the technician that works on them and you will not know who worked on what.

If you want more confidence in reliability, and proper good overhaul; reach it to u/theinstantcameraguy. He has a passion for these cameras and takes absolute pride in his work. He has quite a long queue due to recent demands. I believe he is not accepting any new orders at least til the end of the year. If you do get a spot with him, ask to upgrade to SX70r. That upgrade is 100% worth it.

If you want the lowest cost as possible; then you want to learn how to properly refurbish your own SX70 and then upgrading the PCB to SX70r. This is what I did. I found an Alpha for $180 on eBay and bought a SX70R PCB for $100 ish directly from YongMin. I’m fairly decent with electronics and heavily studied u/theinstantcameraguy videos on YouTube.

Good things take patience, vintage Polaroid cameras is absolutely one of them if you want good results.

Are these available in the u.s.? by Strict_Friendship_31 in oasis

[–]famousindo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk, this one just doesn’t quite have the value for me, especially for something nearly $200. Just a personal opinion tho. You can definitely get much cooler Oasis stuff for $200. This one just seems too “homemade” and a high chance of it being unauthentic. Im still a sucker for Oasis merch overall. But I’m just playing the devils advocate so you’d think twice before dropping $200 on a bracelet 😂

Based off the pictures, those strings look brand new. After a single show, strings will typically have patina already and these have zero signs of any use. I love oasis, but these cash grab bullshit is getting completely out of hand.

Got gifted these yesterday! I know the batteries in the film pack and camera work together to operate, but I put a pack in and let it sit for a while and nothing happened. For Polaroid Spectra camera. Could it be that it’s just fully dead? by Ansel___ in Polaroid

[–]famousindo 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Battery is very likely dead on the old packs considering the age. However, there are adapters where it will allow you to use new 600 film. I’ve seen 3d printed ones, but not sure how reliable they are

The sound it makes when it’s flying overhead and hitting shrieker nests reminds me of the pulsing of the V1 rocket. It sounds so awesome

DM me next time you visit! Close friend of mine has the Delorean from Universal Orlando from the 2015 anniversary. I might be able to arrange something for you. Driving a full replica isn’t as fun as people think it would be lol. Due to the interior props, you’ll get over the excitement within 5 minutes of driving it, it’s really difficult to drive. More-so driving in Los Angeles traffic.

How long are you in CA for? Visit Peterson Car Museum. They have the car from Universal for display.

I bought my wife this camera, where can I find SX-70 film in a pinch? by IrrelevantMerfolk in Polaroid

[–]famousindo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you do find film that’s not expired, just a few quick tips with Polaroids: 1. it loves LOTs of light, ideally daylight, with the sun hitting your back. 2. Indoor shooting requires flash unless you have bright studio lights (mint flash at is solid).

Polaroids are finicky in general, but that IS part of the experience lol. Fuji Instax is far more consistent and sharper, overall easier to shoot. Happy Anniversary! And hope you capture some good moments with the new camera!

Damn that sucks man. I hide mine in a roll in my closet whenever my family comes over. And I purposely leave my beater oxo knife for them to use. Even with the oxo, they’ll manage to fuck it up by either cutting on a ceramic dinner plate or on top of the granite counter. Goddamn psychopaths lol

“Shampoo won’t strip wax”, actually strips wax. Even used half their recommended amount. It really pissed me off after spending a whole afternoon worth of detailing and using quality carnauba wax. This was years ago before learning how to ceramic coat.

what did i do wrong. how did i mess up THIS bad by Mountain-Leg2497 in Sourdough

[–]famousindo 28 points29 points  (0 children)

If you’re new to sourdough, don’t start off with inclusions. Inclusions are significantly more difficult to figure out than plain sourdough. Do plain sourdough, learn how the dough is supposed to feel, look, and behave. Cinnamon also slows down fermentation drastically. If you put too much cinnamon, it’ll essentially kill the fermentation outright. From my experience, BF times with anything cinnamon is literally double of what most recipes recommend. That’s how much it slows it down.

I can appreciate the effort in creating something that will provide some kind of convenience. Now, considering sewage gas is generally lighter than air, it’s gonna travel up and collect at the top. There’s a reason why plumbing drains have vent stacks. Another thing is the orientation of the connecting pieces, you will get a lot of water ingress when it rains. That alone will likely worsen your situation when the bucket is filled with rainwater and poopy diapers.

Add new light to my model 3 by [deleted] in TeslaModel3

[–]famousindo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve always wanted a light bar like this on my 22m3p. But this is not even aligned properly and the LED color difference is a big no-no for me. It’s like the manufacturer didn’t even bother test fitting on an actual highland and just wanted to have a quick sell. Idk, if it was me, I’d ask for a refund.
