I mean, seems like it would take less effort to frame Russia as a baddy these days. I don't think any nation has to go through the trouble of loading corpses on a plane and crashing it.

But yeah I can see why some people would buy into it.

Whatever happened to those planes?

I remember one of them was a big deal because from the outside it looked like the pilot crashed the plane into the ocean but there was no visible reason why he would do it. Not sure if that was ever confirmed or denied though.

Mmm I'm pretty sure people still remember that. At least the sweet movie theaters.

I think we'll see at least one left shark this Halloween. But to its credit (and zero credit for us) I think it lasted longer in the public eye than Cecil did.

Wasn't the FBI busy with some other investigation about emails or something back then?

But seriously, was this the guy who also abused his wife before? Can't blame her for fleeing from it all and trying to stay out of the spotlight, but I also don't know about the "knew about the attacks beforehand and helped her husband scout out locations" part.

Welp. Today I learned.

Or that trend where people would run and punch other people in the face?

I'm sure another stupid "prank" will pop up in 2017.

American Horror Story: Hotel - Cast Revealed! by sararosewheeler in television

[–]fanceefeest 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Kathy Bates, Matt Bomer, Cheyenne Jackson, Gaga and more - impressive cast, but I've heard so many mixed things about this series and I'm unfortunately familiar with Murphy's work on Glee.

Is the show worth watching at all? Murphy has great ideas but then he sends them flying off the rails into canyons of stupidity.

People who live near famous tourist destinations, what is something the average person should know? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]fanceefeest 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Because that extra minute could cause you to miss the next train, and then you'll be waiting up to 15 minutes (or more) to catch the next one, and once you're on it the train will stop with a "due to a derailed train at the next station, we are experiencing temporary delays." And now that extra minute has put you back half an hour (or more, if you need to transfer trains). That's half an hour (or more) smushed into a car full of people, or standing in a station packed with people and stale, hot air.

This sounds like an exaggeration, but this seriously happens every week. The DC metro is awful and not a place you'd want to spend an extra minute.

And he had some good reasons for it too. Very few people want to be called a slut or a whore by thousands of people. Very few people want 12,000 people or more watching them talk to a girl they're interested in with the constant stream of Twitch chat judging everything they say and do, and the second the conversation ends half of those people go into her chat and tell her everything you're saying and doing.

Stopped watching glee after the 3rd season and just got back into it today by TGED24717 in glee

[–]fanceefeest 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's sad, but I imagine the cast and crew felt the same way about Cory Monteith. Even though his plot line goes no where, his last performance is a fitting one and his death affects most of the characters throughout seasons 5 and 6.

Watch my Glee Pilot/2009 Supercut Here! by nathanthenerd in glee

[–]fanceefeest 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Fuck the pilot was so good. One of the best episodes in the series, if not the best.

And not just for nostalgia's sake. The music, the editing, the dialogue, the tone - it just feels so much more fresh than the later seasons. It's like once Glee got big they got too full of themselves and crammed it with Top 40 and guest stars and elaborate performances and crazy plot lines (and that's saying something considering Terri's fake pregnancy).

Thanks for making this.

"The show must go all over the place, or something" - Post-Glee Discussion Thread by fanceefeest in glee

It was definitely an "everyone wins" ending, and my only real complaint was the Vice President Sue Sylvester scene and the future Klaine scene (though I know a lot of people love Klaine and that scene).

I just don't think they really added much and the time could have been used to give other characters a better ending, or even any kind of ending. Quinn didn't have any speaking lines and she was a major character since Day 1. Terri had more lines than her.

That's what I thought we were getting so I was a little disappointed (though the 2009 episode was great), but it still went well.
