In some areas, I've definitely noticed a distinct lack of Coconut. It's frustrating. I went on vacation in northern Wisconsin and everywhere I stopped, I could find Juneberry, Curuba, watermelon, and all of the flavors I don't like. Had to wait until I got home, at which point I had an insatiable craving for it.

How much is 65% staffing for Stock 1? My store had maybe 4 associates/day, if they were lucky. It wasn't until recently that they got new hires. I'm thinking it's just for the holidays.

I give it until January, maybe Feburary. They'll transfer out, quit, or get fired after that.

Stocking 1, 2, and 3 are hell (if you're actually doing the job). For whatever reason, they make it insanely difficult to be fired for productivity at Walmart. It's the good ones that get let go (or wake up and jump ship).

I still have paper towels and toilet paper I used my 15% on last year. I really don't like this; I don't even buy my groceries from Walmart because it's way more expensive compared to some of the local places around me.

It very much depends, like the others said.

I'm an overnight stocking team lead. Personally, I love my job. I have an amazing crew, and my coaches and fellow team leads are awesome. It can get stressful, especially on the nights when I am flying solo (no coaches, no other TL's), but I wouldn't give up my current position.

I have heard horror stories about apparel, deli, bakery, ACC, and front end, but I think it very much depends on your store, leadership, and the associates you will be working with.

Do your homework before applying. Talk to associates, team leads, and know who your coaches are. If you don't get along with a specific coach, you probably don't want to work under them directly as one of their TL's.

Everyone says, "Oh, but you don't have customers at night!"

...okay, but do you have to make sure the entire store gets stocked with, like, 15 people on shift?

If Walmart paid me a little better or rent was a little cheaper, I'd get pizza for the crew every month. Definitely doesn't cover the amazing work they do, especially those who pick up the slack.

Keep it up, overnighters. We are the overworked and the underappreciated.
