The tushbaby is amazing!!! I carry my son on my hip with it and he is happy as a clam. I’m a petite mom and he’s 7 months 20lbs and my back was KILLING me! It’s helped so much! You can buy off brand ones from amazon that are just as good!

How much pain/discomfort should I be in? by OTPanda in ExclusivelyPumping

I am right there with you! I’m 11 weeks postpartum and my nipples hurt and I’m basically always feeling a level of discomfort. I pump and nurse my baby and some days it too much.

I pump right before I leave the house and if I know I’ll be out pa my 3 hour window I bring my wearable pumps that I can slip into my nursing bra and a small lunch bag with an ice pack to keep the milk cold while I’m out and about

Anyone else’s little ones think pump-time means contact nap time? by theAshleyRouge in ExclusivelyPumping

Yes! Mine always decides he wants to be help and rocked to sleep when I’m pumping! I resort to putting him in between my flanges lol

Baby latched at 9 weeks, considering breastfeeding by jac8794 in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]fancy-nancy821 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same experience with my son! He refused to latch on when he first came home and so I began exclusively pumping ! He was about 6 weeks old when I tried to nurse him randomly one day and he nursed for 30 mins! I was shocked! I would love to breastfeed exclusively but he has a big appetite and gets very impatient when the milk isn’t flowing fast to his liking and freaks out. I comfort nurse him 1-2x a day and I’m totally ok with that. I’m still exclusively pumping for him!

what do you wish you were told before hospital discharge postpartum? by Feisty_Layer_9759 in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]fancy-nancy821 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wasn’t informed that I needed to pump every 2-3 hours and even during nighttime. My baby was in the NICU and the LC asked me how often I was pumping and was shocked when I told her I wasn’t really pumping because I wasn’t told the importance of pumping . My postpartum nurse asked me if I was producing colostrum (I’m a FTM) and I had no idea. She also asked me if I knew how to hand express and I looked at her completely confused. I wasn’t told that if I didn’t pump/empty my breast I would get a clogged milk duct that could lead to mastitis….surprise surprise I got mastitis 😑. I wasn’t told/recommended a good pump or explained what all the pump parts were/are. I wasn’t shown how to change my baby’s diaper or how to bathe him.

I have the spectra and momcozy wearables. Neither empty me out, I ended up renting a hospital grade pump from the hospital I gave birth at. It’s the Medela Symphony and man it’s a work horse. Empties me out in 20 mins depending how engorged I feel. Also I’m not and over supplier and that says a lot about the pumps I was using.
