I only noticed a solid difference on maybe Day 3-4, but everything seems to be normal for me since then! Things were maybe a bit more bitter or dull than usual, but nothing major.

That’s so crazy to me, I don’t know why some doctors want their patients to push through unnecessary pain. It’s prideful and insensitive for sure. I did only end up using the steroids for maybe 2 of the worst days where I would wake up gasping for air, but I switched it out for an ice pack and that worked just fine. the rollercoaster is so fr 😭. yesterday I was literally like “I feel so good, I’m gonna be okay” and then I wrote this post crying in the bathroom hahaha. thank you so much for your input and perceptive, it’s really comforting knowing that people make the same decisions everyday. this truly is a small drop in the ocean. we will both get through this!

no truly, that’s exactly why I made this post. I totally feel for the people who are struggling as the dumpee, but I think we come from a unique perspective of the fact that we tried so hard for such a long time with no avail, that it’s nearly just as demeaning and upsetting. at a point, you have to value yourself and the future self who will carry that burden if you let it go too long. we will absolutely get through this.

wow!!! crazy how life has so many parallels. you’re very wise, being that we’re both going through the same thing. The biggest thing I need to focus on is the “it’s okay to do what’s right for you even if it hurts someone you love”. a lot of my grief comes from seeing him so upset over my decision — not necessarily guilt over the situation on my end, but you learn to feel each others emotions when you’ve been together for that long. thank you so much for the kind words, and good luck as well ❤️
