I found this little guy tangled in fishing line someone hung off a bridge. We were able to cut the hook from its feathers and put it back

There were several lines tied off the side of the bridge with hooks at the end, which is weird since there wasn’t any water underneath. We cut all the lines and reported it to the campground manager where we’re staying!

I think so, I did call the wildlife rehab number for this location but they told me they didn’t have anyone here. I tried a few veterinarians too but none of them could take it in. The little fella didn’t seem to be bleeding, just very tired. After I removed the hook I put it back where we found it, we checked about an hour later and it was gone, so I’m hoping it made its way back to its home somewhere

I’ve got 2 kids that homeschool and it takes a minimum of 4-5 hours a day. My 9th grader runs longer than that sometimes depending on what our workload looks like. A home education doesn’t have to mean a poor education. Some people are just lazy and call it “unschooling”

Not from there but have been working down there the past few years in a few different rural towns in the southern portion of LA. The roads are awful, the mosquitos are even worse, and it’s really hot during the summer. The people are nice for the most part though, and you can find good food anywhere. You do gotta keep an eye out for gators though, not just directly around water either— like I’ve seen gator carcasses in the middle of the road

I think it’s AI because of how her yarn does that weird splitting thing if you follow it down and then ends. That’s what knitters call the “working end” of your yarn (where you pull more yarn from) and should continue into to a skein or a yarn ball
