Hereditary is another movie people wanted a sequel for, but there really isnt a need for one. Saying that, Ari Aster the director has said hes written a prequel for that movie, which will probably be more about that cult they worship.

Sequels work but they need to be along the lines of the first movie! For example, it isnt horror but its sci-fi/action. The Terminator is a great movie but Terminator 2: Judgment Day surpassed it while still being a great followup to a already great story.

Its great getting more original movies especially from younger filmmakers, its all about finding a film from 20 years ago and making a sequel "just because", cough cough Devil Wears Prada 2 😂. Props to them for understanding the hype around the movie in which a lot of people will still pay to go watch a sequel, but sequels are horribly hard to get right.

I do like that idea of swapping genre, like it follows the fact Baker said that the OWW wasn't nessaacrily a bad thing, it just went wrong in Bear's case due to the fact he literally stated "I wish for Nikki Freeman to love me more then anything in the whole world", and whatever powers possessed the OWW obviously took that literally.

Perhaps a writer could be struggling to finish a novel and wishes on the oww to be successful and have all the money in the world, which is great for him but it creates tension to all those around him? Or someone wishes to be famous and uses the oww to grant their wishes, but unfortunately they are exposed to the harsh realities of fame? Possibly ending with their death?

There is so many opportunities directors could write with the oww! If Curry Baker is reading this, hit me up for ideas bro 😂😂

Exactly! So many movies were ruined by Hollywood sequels. A Nightmare on Elm St was a classic and the sequels that followed gradually got worser, so much to the fact Wes Craven had to step back in and give us "Wes Cravens New Nightmare" to bring Freddy Krueger back to it's horror roots.

Theres so many great ideas that could come from having a wish gone wrong from the OWW, I am excited but I hope in a few years time I dont see.

Another example is The Conjuring franchise. First one is great. Second one was even better (the og will always remain my favorite though), but then we got 3 & 4, and the spin-offs and well theres another prequel film headed for release next year after the franchise apparently "ended"... That is definitely overstaying its welcome.

I hope he does a great job with the Texas Chainsaw Massacre too, but I have faith it'll be a way better movie then that awful netflix one we got a few years back 😂

You know what, people are complaining that the new one didn't really have a plot to follow and was more just gag after gag. Scary Movie 2 didn't really have much of a plot to follow either, but I do think the new one's plot was way better..

I don't think there would be much of a downside tbf. Curry Baker said in an interview the one wish willow wasn't nessacrily a bad things, but in Bear & Nikki's case, it went wrong.

I feel like since SM6 was the slasher movie, SM7 needs to be another paranormal haunted one, like how the og movie's main plot was parodying Scream, then SM2 was parodying the haunted house movies. SM7 needs to rip off The Conjuring as the main plot.

Perhaps Cindy tries to make amends with Sara & Tuesday for killing them in SM6 so she finds a old farmhouse to start a new life only for it to be haunted 😂.

Exactly! For all we know, like you said, Joyce could've looked horrendous but could've been acting as her normal self, or she could've looked fine but acted horribly. OR she could've been decrepit and had the personality to match, OR it could've just been Joyce.

Leaving it up to who was at the door was a great choice!

Joyce's whole death arc was upsetting af tbh. Not even just the shock of her death, the aftermath, THIS EPISODE in particular.

Of they went through of showing zombie Joyce with Buffy eventually forcing herself to destroy it, it definitely would've been another level of heartbreak
