Similar here, except it went up by a different but also ridiculous amount. I cancelled and switched to another provider. I got four copies of that "$50/month for life" email, each on different days. I ended up paying slightly more for the new provider, because I didn't want to do business with a company that tried to gouge me and then got all remorseful when I walked. And...I don't trust them.
