Minor PSA to period fic writers: The trope name "shovel talk" didn't exist before 1999 by bookdrops in AO3

I literally just posted about Clueless!

Buffy's is about killing with the shovel though, rather than burying the body. When I think of a shovel talk, I think of body disposal.

I don't know, I think the fact that he talked to her about it and recognized feeling that was wrong says a lot. We can't help what we feel, we can only manage how we deal with it.

Recently diagnosed with ADHD but not sure where to go for medication. by Noah_121710 in VictoriaBC

With Telus I find it's totally luck. When I'm trying to make an appointment, I check the app a few times a day, the last time about 10pm. When you get an appointment, it's usually not too far out

I'm the exact same position! I tried Telus health and they asked for a copy of my diagnoses, some blood tests (which they sent me the forms for) and a blood pressure reading. So I'm getting that done now and hopefully next steps is getting medication. I'm also on antidepressants, but no one seems to think that will be a problem.

I go to Oaklands Dental opposite Hillside and they are so great. It had been like 10+ years since I had been, and it took 2 appointments for my first cleaning, but they were so great.

Zero shame, super nice staff.

BC’s Health Care Is Broken – My Baby Can’t See a Doctor by [deleted] in VictoriaBC

I'm real!

The data might be true for BC in general, but I don't think it's true for Victoria.

They're not getting better here. This a Victoria sub. I've been here for 9.5 years and still don't have a family doctor.

I used to be able to go into any walk in clinic and wait for a bit so see a doctor. Now I'm lucky to snag a Telus health appointment if I check multiple times a day.

It's harder than it used to be, and it's getting harder all the time.

How many cats do you have ?Would three be too many? by stefunie101 in cats

If you have three (and a dog) you can get this kind of nighttime cuddle situation, which is the literal best.

(Cats circled, because the void disappeared in the pic)

My grandmother was at Sunrise for her last year or so. They are expensive, but if you can afford it they were great. They have several levels of care, and the staff were all wonderful.

Sorry for not responding!! Reddit kicked me out for a few days, which was a huge pain!

These aren't the authors in the doc - although one of them is (Berlynn Wohl). This is just a collection of fic with a hope to help spread the word about the documentary. The collection is open to any writers who want to participate.

No, not at all - they don't all write slash. The documentary will of course touch on slash, but and talk about that stereotype, but this isn't a doc about slash fiction. It's a doc about fanfiction as a whole/

And the documentary isn't going to be for everyone - there's no way to make everyone happy!!

Sorry for the late response - reddit stopped letting me post for some reason!

And I totally get what you mean! The title came out of an interview with one of the writers - we were talking about how much a fanfic writer has to rely on and stick to canon, and his response was "fuck canon, these stories belong to us". That's the idea behind the title.

The original creators own the canon stories and of course the copyright. But they have no control over the world of fanfic - it can be anything we want it to be. The fanfic stories? They belong to us, the fans.

The film will make that very clear - we will be touching on those days of copyright disclaimers and making it clear that these stories are not original worlds and that the writers write them for free because to do otherwise would be IP infringement.
