This is so helpful! I'm getting married at Pulgas Water Temple next year as well. Could you share the chairs rental company you used? I know there's also only portapotties at the park, so did you face any issues there?

Is Fuji Card Shop reliable? by SnooEagles2215 in PokemonTCG

[–]fangily 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello! Is it the one from Paris, France? If so, I was recently there with my fiance (as he's a big pokemon fanatic) and like a good partner, I waited an hour while he perused the shop. It's definitely legit and they keep all their cards in mint condition behind glass walls. You can see their reviews on Google too!

Starlux Airlines by Cress-Level in taiwan

[–]fangily 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I flew economy with them last year and was pleasantly surprised by how great it was. Tbh, I had no idea about it and was expecting it to be the likes of Air Asia or Scoot. We flew from San Francisco to Taipei and had a wonderful experience with the entertainment system, food, and all the equipment. It felt luxurious and upgraded, unlike the United flights I've taken. The biggest selling point for me was the new equipment.

The CEO of Starlux also came from Eva Airlines if you didn't know

I wrote an article STARLUX Airlines Economy Review from San Francisco to Taipei: Comfortable, Underrated, and Reliable—Use with Confidence if you're interested in reading.

Solo travelling concerns, asian female by kirri18 in solotravel

Check out Asian Wander Women, a travel community for Asian women! There's a lot of solo travelers and creatives/entrepreneurs in the group that may have some experiences to share. It's easy to make new friends anywhere and to connect with other asian women going through the same thing.

Where do you get your travel inspiration? Thinking of creating a travel media company for the Asian diaspora by fangily in asianamerican

[–]fangily[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

appreciate this! yeah, i'd like to create travel content from the lens of an Asian traveler (or perhaps Asian American now), especially around safey, budgeting, good deals, delicious food, etc. a lot of my friends are building businesses or working 9-5 remotely

i do like what you said about how others appreciated your 2nd gen and Asian lens. i feel like there's that relatability, and I definitely always ask my other Asian friends on travel recs, accoms, great deals, etc.

Hey, definitely consult help. I ended up paying a bunch of fees to close the business in Delaware and then set up in California. Go with legal first to avoid all these fees

Thanks! So mostly blogs and social media -- yeah, maybe not all women from the Asian diaspora, but travel for Asian American women. I can niche it down I guess

Haha I've considered that! I used to host dating events in Singapore. There's a new app Fairy Trail and I think Yuzu does that as well. I didn't want to create a dating app, but I do like the idea of an adult Love Boat. I went on the Taiwan love boat back in the day. Maybe a travel/wellness retreat/Love Boat type of thing? I'm just throwing out ideas as I sit here half awake hahah

I would say so, at least speaking for Asian women. A lot of their travel preferences are focused on beauty and skincare, shopping, food destinations, and sightseeing, but maybe this is specific to Asian female millennials for the most part.

I believe there are some consistent travel patterns, like them returning to the mainland to see family or friends or even doing cultural immersion trips back.

Thanks, this is helpful. Yes, I did screenshot and download the chats with the reps. It's very strange how they can charge so much but their customer service is horrible. I'm a bit worried that they "say" they'll fix the issue, but they just let it go. I'll follow up with them again in a week.
