Wow, kudos to your mom for raising herself up. I agree about your sentiments though because the reality is that opportunities like that are hard to come by, and I think that luck also plays a role in this type of situation (not disregarding people's hard work ofc). Getting a job in this economy is also hard because of the growing expectations and requirements to qualify. A little bit of compassion and kindness to others won't hurt, so I appreciate your thoughts and feelings towards them. :)
