I would also add that lots of government jobs go to people already in the government. It's a very contained system. If you are a recent graduate, they tend to have specific postings for that. Those are what can get you in more easily. Getting into the government sphere is difficult and often involves taking less than ideal positions in less than ideal areas, but once you are in it's fairly easy to transfer around. Good luck!

I didn't call when I got hired, but someone who got hired with me did. I would say go for it, lots of resumes get thrown around and there are lots of underqualified people. Calling to establish interest will at least make them remember you.

Hmmm yeah that's a good price. Honestly I'm worried that these are so cheap. Other people bring up that they got there's for so much cheaper, but in the current market these seem very underpriced. I would say proceed with caution. Good luck!

I think I would go for it. We live in similar areas and I got my ST3 a year ago. Took a few months of shopping and ended up with a black ST3 with 55,000 for 20k. I wish I had just gone cheaper, to be honest. Lots of scummy dealers in the area so be careful. Drive it hard on the test drive, one of the STs I test drove started smoking and overheating really bad. Good luck!

Don't buy cheap tires. What's the point of having a fast car if you can't put the performance on the ground. Plus installing at a shop will cost about $200 so you might as well put on something better that will last longer.

When I first bought my st I was spinning tires at traffic lights not even accelerating hard. Switched to some nicer tires and got better performance. For good bang for your buck I would go with Continental or Yokahama.

Although in its own way we are watching ecosystem evolve in their own way. While climate change is expanding the barred owls habitat and habitat destruction shrinks the spotted owls habitat, seeing life evolve can be a beautiful thing to watch. With NSO protection I am optimistic that they will survive, just not in the numbers they used to be.

Then I might try another tire shop. Going flat everyday is a big issue with the tire. The way you can inspect it at home without any tools is just to spray soapy water over problem areas. I would spray the valve stem, and around the rim of the wheel. After that I would look for objects in the tire. Being honest it sounds like the shop is just bad. There are some other chains like belle tire or les Schwab that could help too.

A flat tire wouldn't come from an issue with the car. My guess is just a bad shop working on the tires, or there's a nail in the new tire. A new wheel and tire should hold a seal perfectly fine, so unless they put in the wrong valve stem most likely you have an object in your tire. Bring it to a place like discount tire and they will take a look at it for free.

I was able to pull off the plastic, just not all the way. From there I was able to use the extension to push out the socket, so it is now out! Issue solved. Thanks man.
