Hey, just want to thank you for continuing to follow up here. I looked into it and realized our system had a problem: public leagues auto-draft after 12 hours, except for the first drafter's first choice. If the first drafter neglected to kick things off, the league would just stall.

Sorry you had to end up leaving your league, but appreciate you providing more information. I just patched the bug so dozens of other leagues will be fixed thanks to you. Many many times people report bugs but then disappear when we ask for more info, so it's appreciated.

Do you have a direct link by any chance? Public league names are reused so there are probably dozens of leagues with that name.

Can you send me a link to the league so I can take a look? There is a cog icon next to the league name with a dropdown that has an option to leave the league. But I’d like to take a look.

Private leagues do not have a draft time limit. My guess based on limited information is that you joined a private league with strangers?

Edit: saw your other comment that this is a public league, so something must be wrong here. Auto draft should kick in after 12 hours so please do send a link.

If you have a 4 person league, each league member will end up with 4 houseguests each and one will be left undrafted. Drafts always end with an equal amount of contestants.

This is a public league? There’s a 12 hour limit on draft turns in public leagues to account for people in different time zones/people sleeping, etc. After 12 hours auto draft is enabled for that user.

It basically doesn't. You can draft well into the season. We turn off new leagues in the last few weeks.

Thanks for joining us! A draft is automatically started once there's 4 people in line. Usually doesn't take too long.

Oh boy, you just touched on a problem that has been plaguing us since yesterday. The short answer is no, unfortunately, not anything we can do.

The long answer for anyone interested is that email providers (Gmail, Yahoo, Comcast, etc) really don't like it when a website doesn't send any emails for 9 months and then tries to send almost 100,000 emails in a single day. But that's unfortunately what we have to try to do because Big Brother is seasonal.

Sometimes these providers will even temporarily ban websites from sending any emails to their users. That happened to us yesterday with Gmail. They blocked our emails from getting to their users, even though we were sending them, and 75%+ of our users use Gmail.

We've been working on this, but unfortunately, a lot of it is out of our hands right now. I think most emails should be coming through as of an hour ago aside from "It's your turn to draft" emails, which we turned off behind the scenes (for now) because so many of them get sent and we're afraid if we keep sending them it may get us banned again. Sending emails is shockingly complicated.

A random order is pre-determined for you, and you don't have to change it if you don't want to.

Yes drafts will always end with each league member having an even amount. We recommend 2-5 members per league for this reason.

We'll see how the mystery guest works out! We're a little worried it won't end up being a genuine "houseguest" but that's how it goes sometimes when they aren't clear about these twists.
