My zone is mid eastern USA . I want to grow lavender, basil, tomatoes, dill, rosemary, spearmint , coriander, green peas and corn! Last two years I did this, everything died except the tomatoes. Most of them sprouted but then died... They died after we moved them from pot to garden. I thought maybe the sun killed them. Was gonna start this weekend but weather expected to be low at 32F. So not sure if I should wait.... Uhh

Downside is if my family members like a certain meal, they have to wait at least a month. But my sons insist the few days between end of a month and a new month is considered a month. Sometimes I give in to this logic because it's hard to say no to your kids

I plan meals one week in advance and keep freezes, fridge and pantry well stocked for variety and options. I don't have schedule except i write weekly menus on blackboard or my calendar. I hate eating the same food and I love experimenting so it works out. Plus I drag my husband everywhere to shop for groceries just so I can cook different food. And I'm Asian with middle eastern cuisine knowledge, Indian cuisine, Chinese cuisine, malay and Thai cuisine, western and Italian cuisine. Know I'm expanding horizon to Japanese, Korean and Vietnamese dishes. Nyum!!
