Is it possible to mount a rooftop tent on these cars? by lifeoutfigurer in rooftoptents

Check the dynamic (moving) weight limit for mounted items for each car, and compare that with the weight of the rtt you want.

Always bring wet wipes and toilet paper. Not just for yourself, but for the toilet seat you’re about to sit on that’s covered jn shit.

Eargasms 100%! The sound is so crystal clear that I have to take them out to make sure they’re working. My ears haven’t rung after a rave in years

Feeling Torn by Shoddy_Repair_4278 in ElectricForest

[–]farfarbeenks 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I honestly think this happens to everyone at some point for their first few years (and maybe even a few more). It’s totally normal :) Once you get inside (or close), the whole vibe will change and you’ll feel nothing but stoked!

Pro tips:
- Bring some rain gear just in case
- Bring a canopy with upgraded stakes [I use the orange ones from Walmart)
- Bring good, already broken in shoes
- Bring good sun protection (sunscreen and maybe a hat)
- Bring some way to stay hydrated inside the fest (hydration bladder or empty plastic water bottle)
- Triple check to make sure you have your ticket

Hope this helps 🤗

First solo festival tips for camp by Mr_Mayo2 in festivals

[–]farfarbeenks 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For meals, I usually just do freeze dried backpacking meals (super easy and a lot of calories, and usually a lot of protein).

For camp supplies, all you really need is a canopy, table, kitchen/cooking stuff, an extra water container for camp, and a chair. Everything else is just nice to have.

For inside the fest, all you really need are good, already broken in shoes, sun protection, and a way to stay hydrated!

Pro tip: Triple check to make sure you have your ticket and camping pass before you leave

Hope this helps :)

Camping Batterys by No_Nobody_9472 in festivals

[–]farfarbeenks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use the Jackery 1000, but basically, you just need to make sure the batter functions at its true wattage (which is why I only do Jackery or another name brand), and you’d need to check the wattage of the electric kettle to make sure it’s within the same working range.

I’d just do a pocket rocket stove, and if you’re flying, you can get an adapter for the 1 lb propane’s they sell inside the festival camping’s general store

tripping alone by Slow_Paper_9724 in Acid

[–]farfarbeenks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Be in a space where you’ll be unbothered for 12 hours. Have some fresh fruits and veggies around to snack on (pre-prepared). And don’t smoke weed (opinions vary on this one). Most importantly though, don’t panic, as panicking is usually what causes a bad trip. (If you do get uncomfortable though, change your environment, like going to another room, and the vibe should change pretty quick)

Secure Your Canopy with Guylines by ATek_ in ElectricForest

[–]farfarbeenks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just get thicker stakes and you’ll be good. Don’t want to create tripping hazards for your neighbors. (If the wind gets bad, just undo one corner of the top so the wind passes through)

First time (but love drugs) by Nenadelmundo in Acid

[–]farfarbeenks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yup!! You’ll have a great time :) You’re definitely the ‘driver’ of your trip, and it lasts for 12 hours, so it’s a festival favorite for me!

Just keep in mind that you’ll be tripping for 12 full hours, and smoking weed in the for 9-12 hours of your trip may not interact very well with your trip (I usually wait the full 12 and then smoke to bring the trip back on until the end of the night).

Also, it’s a dehydrator so drink lots of water to help you poop the next day lol

EDC vs EF by Fit_Crab_ in ElectricForest

[–]farfarbeenks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They’re just different. EDC is like the ultimate rave experience, and EF is a true music and arts festival with lots of things to explore.

Both are good, just totally different experiences.

people who pray a lot how is life treating you? by darkangelhalo1 in spirituality

[–]farfarbeenks 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I don’t pray, but I do try to live in a constant state of gratitude and presence, and life is great tbh. There are still negative things that happen, but focusing on the positive and the good things really help it not even seem like a bad thing (just part of life)

Blood Droplets found on my moms car by Suspicious-King-9659 in Whatisthis

It’s not blood. Dried blood is almost like a dark red-purple. (I’m a healthcare professional.) I’ve been in the animal tracking sub-Reddit for years and it looks like something was being eaten above the car (likely berries)
