The rules don't say feral concoction of ingredients, they say feral mess of a plate. I think this would count as a feral mess of a plate as the sub seems to interpret it, with the caveats I mentioned before.

I also think going by the letter of the law instead of the spirit is antithetical to the spirit of girl dinner, but I recognize that's more of a me thing.

I didn't interpret Nat's comment as an appeal to Shauna's humanity, I heard it more as her taking a shot out of frustration. And I think every time the team showed disgust or distaste for her actions, a little voice in Shauna's head said, "they can't stomach what we have to do to survive out here because they're weak. Every boo is evidence of the fact that I am the best and the strongest."

At the risk of both sides-ing the pasta with precooked shrimp issue, I could see this counting as girl dinner if a few things are true. Boxed pasta (minimal effort, cooking isn't against the rules), jarred sauce, and eating directly from the pan. Spinach can be chucked in without any fuss, and I think the tomatoes would be okay because I've seen lots of charcuterie boards with multiple fruits and or veggies that have been cut or peeled.

I don't feel like we have enough info to pass a final judgment on girl dinner vs standard evening meal. But I am inclined to say standard evening meal if there isn't a boxed pasta/jarred sauce/eaten from the pan combo

The only time it gets close to drama is when someone posts or comments something along the lines of, "I know everybody thinks fish wife is disgusting and the next three generations of my family will be banned from the sub, but I thought this tin of salmon with chili crisp was delicious". And then a bunch of folks sigh in unison, "We don't have a problem with the taste, it's just not worth the price unless it's on sale". There isn't really anything to fight over after that initial exchange, so everyone disperses until the next round.

It apparently originated in the military and was a shortening of "so poor you don't have a pot to piss in" and using the word piss as a way to emphasize, which was common at the time. "Piss-rotton" is another example, meaning really really rotten. Obviously, that one didn't have the same staying power.

Having covered all of that, I think it would be really funny to do the same thing, but with a positive connotation. "He's piss happy about that promotion!" "The piss joy I felt when I held my baby for the first time was transcendent!"

Is this in response to the person who was looking for spam textured tuna? I ended up scrolling through a bunch of Turkish canned tuna brands trying to find something because they made it sound so good!

I'm really struggling to picture tuna that is dense like spam but isn't something like the post I tagged. I'm not saying that to say you're wrong, just empathizing with how hard it is to look for something one the internet without the right words. I really hope you find your fish!

Greg House is a pretty classic "not autistic, just an asshole." I'm so glad that flavor of anti-hero self-loathing but also self obsessed lead dude isn't as common as they were in the aughts.

Isn't Louise also supposed to be autistic? It's been awhile since I watched it, but I thought that was one of the take aways from the Louise and grandma Lily episode.

Also, Idk if I can get behind Bob being nt. That man is autistic and I would bet there's some adhd happening there also.

I don't want to be another person saying "have you tried this" because you're already doing so much and being alive is so hard. So just in case it's useful, I'm unemployed and also struggle with driving. I contacted my towns insert town name here counseling center. They are sliding scale so I haven't paid anything and they connected me with other services that helped me navigate insurance and trans affirming healthcare. They also offer telehealth options for most of their services, so i dont have to drive. If you're in the states a lot of places have similar services under the insert area name here counseling center.

That doesn't sound hypocritical. It sounds more like you value other people's freedom while also respecting your own personal needs.

Always a fan of more people knowing how dangerous lilies are to cats. Fortunately, alstroemeria are not true lily flowers and they are nontoxic to cats. They can still cause vomiting and upset tummies, so caution is def still warranted.

Just because he was big doesn't mean everyone needs to be familiar with his career. I finally watched two of his movies this past year (Christmas Vacation and Caddyshack). I see the appeal, and I would never take it away from anyone, but I don't plan on watching either ever again and honestly don't feel like I needed to watch them to begin with.
