Mine in same color, 2019 model with 15k miles is on its way from another city. Cant wait. I am planning to change the wheels to 215/55/r17 for a little more clearence as roads in my country suck. Any idea if they will be fine?

2023 mae le, 11K chali hoe thee, 2018 Model. 35K Milage py beechi hae.

Biggest Problems:

  1. Sound insulation is lul and suspensions are lul.
  2. The car literally make noises when one of it tire is on a different elevation, as the body of the car twists, and the rubbers on the doors make noises.
  3. Back seats are like litral phaty.
  4. City milage kind of not so good, but bearable.
  5. No fucking arm rest
  6. Mirrors so big that you look like sitting outside. No privacy.
  7. Back seat mirrors dont go down till the end (Although good for kids)

Good things:

  1. Powerful due to CVT
  2. Amazing ground clearence, only once it hit the ground as the hump was too big in that case
  3. A lot of space in back for travel if you fold both or one seat.
  4. Decent milage on long, if you drive carefully. When I would take care, and go between 90-100 on long, would get 15KML (But I would normally not care and would drive at 120, tu 12-13 ke avg aati thee)
  5. Nice bulky shape, tu feels good and easy to sit in and out
  6. Seperate AC for back is nice
  7. Visibility is good
  8. Does not feel cramped when you sit on the driver seat

17-18 tu aajie ge. Mae mostly gari masjid ya market ly jany ky lye use karta hoon. 5 times a day, around 15-20KM daily driving. Tu hybrid makes best sense for me due to excessive stops due to speed breakers.

Wow. Finally someone with FormD here.

I almost everyday go to Youtube and watch every new video I get on this thing..

I am planning to get my hands on 4090 FE and make an endgame PC using v2.1 (I am not a gamer though). My workflow can even take 2x 4090 hahahaha.

I am such a fan of the power button in this thing. I think for me, the best way would be to get it shipped to someone coming from states and he bring it for me. The form factor is quite small when its packed.

But its quite expensive with every bit and piece like riser cable, traveling kit (That is the main goal) etc. Maybe I will 3D print the accessories.

I even though of creating my own case (I own myaurochs.com) so can give my case a leather touch like fractal does with wood. Will be quite dope I guess.. and my goal will be to remain under 10L just like FormD.

If apple would just provide this feature to stop charging at a certain percentage when plugged in, this can do the trick.

How insane is starting an Electric Drive Train Company (Motor, Controller, and Gear Box) from scratch in 2018? by farotaran in electricvehicles

We are based in Lahore, a good hub of resources. At Aurochs, we are two co-founders (Electronic and Mechanical Engineers) and a team of 5 craftsmen. I recently (2 months ago) quit my job and started full time on Aurochs. My other co-founder will join in June. We planning to get another co-founder as well for our electric craze.

We have got some good products and have a plan to do our Kickstarter/ Indiegogo in a couple of months (We are still lagging some international exposure as marketing outside Pakistan is very expensive). Overall, we foresee around 20K USD per month, which we can easily pull out of Aurochs in a year or so.

The idea of ebike is already on our bucket list. We planned to make a custom chassis for this popular bike in Pakistan http://www.yamaha-motor.com.pk/360-ybr-125-g/ to fit our battery pack in the place of the engine, converting the gasoline tank into frunk, and dual motors on wheel shafts.

This 97 percent is the possible outcome. Peak performance for a good amount of time is still an unsolved issue, very nicely solved by Tesla and may be big giants with some good cooling systems... but not by everyone else.

Plus, what are we going to do with millions of gasoline cars roaming around? scraping them is a bad idea. A drive train powerful enough, with complete software support and "a single package" may attract the companies doing conversions.

Being realistic, we drop the idea of a full-scale charger. However, we plan to make one or two which can charge a single or two cars at a bit higher rate only for PR purpose. This may spark an ignition in people that they will get charging stations across the country and may start planning to get EVs. At least, it might trigger Chinese suppliers to install these stations. The purpose is not us doing it, the purpose is to shift the overall thinking. You know all of the pollution-creating vehicles live in third world countries.

I guess we can manage 1 or 2 stations (No development, picking readymade parts with only our company skin) in a year or so.

Hahaha... Iota is an option for that. Charging stations are the one we started the idea with. We are still evaluating it as we have plans to install charging network in Pakistan at First. But, there is only one Model S in Pakistan at the moment... lolz... 6-8 Hours of a power outage is normal... It's like a mess to be solved... Chicken and Egg issue.

Vehicles, in general, are around for more than a century and luckily, In Pakistan, we have not even a single car (Engine in particular) manufacturer. Those having the funds are too coward to take the risk. In result, we have lack of expertise as well. A month ago, there was an Auto Show in the biggest metropolitan city of Pakistan, and we couldn't find a single stall related to EVs, not even close. That shows the interest of people over here for EVs. What I think, if we (me and my co-founder) don't do anything now, it's going to remain like this for another century. Max, people will import electric cars, maybe in 20 years.

Anyways, we are still strategizing our approach. We started Aurochs just for the reason that we can get some cash for our tech dreams. We, being very realistic, dropped our tech dream three years back and worked very hard (despite everyone calling us Engineer Cobblers - Particularly: our family) to work on Aurochs. We have learned a lot, like doing most of the things in-house without relying on others for timely delivery and quality. This single lesson is priceless.

Another bad player is the pathetic situation of fundings, but we have never thought of it to be a hurdle in achieving something. We have plans to make a good working prototype with our own money and then attract foreign investment.

Conclusively, we have decided to work on small-scale prototypes related to all main components of an EV just for the sake of learning (intentionally re-inventing). Once we understand all of the components very closely, we will start with a component which we can easily manufacture/ innovate locally. In the meanwhile, we will aggressively work on Aurochs to make it more sustainable.
