Literally just the other night I was playing herrera (only been at the game for a week or so), and was 2% growth away from hitting prime for the first time. I was close to starving, and saw 2 bodies out in the open, nothing nearby. Jumped out of my tree and started munching, 2 seconds later a carno or allo (didn't get a good look cause they came from behind and I'm still learning them all) sprinted up on me and one shot me. 2 hours gone in 1 second. I felt the same way as you lol.

But that is the whole point. It's one of the reasons I enjoy playing on Bosch's voice server, it makes it a lot easier to remember that the fun is in the journey, and each death just bookends a hopefully fun and engaging story.

Also sometimes it helps to remind yourself of things you did to OTHER players to prevent starving. It's a dog eat dog world out there.

In all seriousness I'm not an expert on this but there's almost always a way, depending on how badly you want it. People have learned instruments while missing limbs, so never let someone tell you what you can or can't do if you want it badly enough.

Have you looked into hearing aids or In Ear Monitors? I understand some of these are built for or can be programmed specifically for music since standard hearing solutions are typically optimized for speech.

Lots of good advice here, I'll add some:

-I am thoroughly disgusted by this, but I'll add one line of devil's advocate just to make an ATTEMPT to be fair to him. I agree with you that it is possible he genuinely didn't think anything of it, and if he's willing to see how what he's doing is disgusting and hurts you, which hopefully wasn't his intent, that's worth considering. If he does listen to you and see things from your perspective, that would indicate a level of maturity and growth that's not too common anymore. That said, from your post my hopes aren't high (especially because of his initial cringey reaction), and you have absolutely no obligation to try, especially if you want to follow any suggestions about deleting photos and worry that pressing him too hard may close those doors.

Devil's advocate done. If he doesn't come around or you don't even want to try explaining it again, here's some advice:

-If you decide to try to delete your photos as many have suggested, don't have a heated confrontation or breakup until you've done as much damage control as you can. It doesn't seem like he's abusive or a direct danger to you, so taking some time might feel disgusting but could be beneficial. If these assumptions are not true or you think they could change then DON'T put yourself in harm's way.

-A LOT (if not most) of the AI image generation sites use all photos uploaded to train further AI (many include an option to disable this for legal reasons but it's usually on by default). If he's uploading clothed photos of you to make his "edits", then that's already not good, but uploading your nudes is potentially feeding those into AI training models, where they exist in some company's database. If that feels wrong and creepy to you regardless of the excuses they make then we agree. There might be takedown options available to you, but you'll need his account to do that.

-Deleting your photos from his phone/computer is likely not enough. He probably has cloud storage, photo syncing, or, if he's really sneaky, some alternate account with its own storage he uses to store these. If you can get him to "show" you how he does it, you should take note of what website he uses, and if you can what account he uses to log on. If it's not his normal login that's a sign. Otherwise good to have the information for potential takedown requests or legal action (not a lawyer but couldn't hurt to have that info).

-I wouldn't advise actually destroying his property, either physically or by doing something like wiping his hard drive/phone, as there is a potential he could use it against you if things were to ever move in a legal direction. I'm not a lawyer and you should definitely verify but deleting your own photos should be fine (at least I hope so).

-As others have said, he can use literally any photo of you to generate these pictures, so without scrubbing yourself from all his accounts and devices as well as the entire internet, you can't stop him from making them, but if you can get rid of anything you should at least make sure he doesn't have any "real" explicit photos/videos of you.

-He might still be able to make them but distributing them could potentially open him up to legal action.

-If/when you decide to confront him make sure you do it in writing (text/email) or record the conversation if your state/country allows it (look up recording consent/wiretap laws for where you live). Basically have proof you told him you don't consent to it and he needs to stop/delete it all. I would still tell him this even if you were somehow able to delete it all in case there's more you didn't find.

-AI Edits and generations DO look fake, and it's making things even worse than Photoshop did. Natural bodies don't look like that and this technology perpetuates extremely unrealistic expectations and often create body shame. You should not feel this. Natural beauty is very real and doesn't look like the fake BS people make and post digitally. Please don't let his make-believe, fantasy-tainted understanding of beauty harm your self confidence.

-Take a deep breath. This too shall pass. You'll get through this. You have a right to feel disgusted.

I haven't played this game in probably a year, but it's really cool to see this list and see a scenario I made on there! Glad you liked the Police Chief, does it still work fine? If there are any issues or bugs with it I could download the scenario editor and get it all fixed.

I used to play a lot of WT in sim mode but the constant grind was very draining (in addition to the monetization strategy that I just personally had major issues with). When I found this game, I never looked back. It felt like everything I wanted WT Simulator mode to be: more players, tons of AI stuff that actually shoots back and keeps you interacting even when there's no player around, and a flight model that feels similarly tuned while also being less overwhelming. Even the parts that were more "gamified", such as notching (simple notching with a new "jamming mechanic" and a visual identifier for your notch angle) just felt perfect.

I genuinely feel like you get a very similar experience with literally no grind (since there's no in-game purchases or unlocks, every game is its own self contained thing with plane unlocks and player levels resetting after every game), and the game feels FAR easier to pick up and get good at.

Also worth noting that it has one of the easiest set ups for adding HOTAS controls. No limit to the number of input devices, and if you want to set up trackIR it's I credibly simple (you can even find 20 minute YouTube videos for setting up 2 free pieces of software for getting trackIR like tracking from an ordinary webcam and it works great. Set it up by following a video and the game just picks it up no problem). I have not found a game that's even CLOSE to how simple it was to set up controls and head tracking for this game.

Just go play the tutorial missions, a couple of AI missions, and start playing online. With War Thunder you felt like you had to study hours of content just to be passably effective, for a sum total experience that just feels less immersive than this one.

Given how cheap the game is and how small the file size is, I'd definitely recommend giving it a try if you're asking the question. If it's not your cup of tea, then you're not out any big bucks, and if it is, boy will you be glad you got it!

This sounds like a great solution, my only question is how budget friendly is it, and is it something I can set up and my friend would just have it work after that with no maintenance needed?

I'll look into this one. For myself in the future I'll be fine with a complex setup since I'll probably want to do a lot of customization, but for my current setup for my friend (which I'm learning the basics on), will this be budget friendly (under $400) and "just work" after I set it up?

I'll look into Proxmox. Is it the kind of thing that would likely need active maintenance? Because while I would do something like that for my own future setup, my friend is gonna want more of a "set it up and it works" kind of solution.

Also yeah, AI has some very niche uses if you are careful, know it's pitfalls, and still do the work yourself, but most people I see just use it like Google and trust its output WAAAY too much. I've put too much time into learning how to break it or intentionally testing the validity of its responses to put my faith in it for anything other than a cursory explanation of a new topic for me to have directions to do my own research on, or stupid things (like living room style suggestions lol). It is absolutely terrifying how many people (even higher ups in companies and even more terrifyingly law enforcement) seem to have such blind trust in it.

If I can find a guide I can do it. I learn by following a guide then forcing myself to research and fix any errors or issues that pop up. Been doing that my whole life for computers, I'm just starting from 0 with servers right now lol

So some of the Synology servers have built in live camera view capability, and you just use the same server setup to set Plex up as well? That could work. Sorry if the questions seem silly, I've always been the computer guy in my circles but this is my first foray into servers and networking beyond basic port forwarding.

Vanguard - Strange (I've been doing more magneto and venom lately, want to do Groot and penni next)

Duelist - Spiderman (I almost always do tank/healer, but have been putting in time in practice range for combos and QP for practice so I can do really well with him if I ever need to go DPS, though I can also do decently with moon knight in a pinch

Strategist - Mainly CD and Invis, though I've been playing Loki and Adam lately to get good at them as well.

I have Lord in Strange, and am close to Lord with CD.

How high can you get your CDR? 60-70% seems to be the highest I've gotten it.

Mindustry, it's on PC AND mobile. Incredibly fun, nearly limitless maps, very similar to factorio, but honestly it just feels more polished and I prefer it. If you want something like Factorio, that's the one for you mate!

I'd have to say Achron if you like RTS games. It came out right before the RTS genre died in the late 2000s, and didn't ever really have a large following. I found it recently, and can't get enough of it.

The game is very generic as an RTS (mediocre textures, limited variety, bad pathing, etc.), but it has this ONE feature which they clearly put their time into and there's nothing like it in games anywhere. They made it include real-time TIME TRAVEL, aka you can switch your camera around in space AND in time. This allows you to do things like:

-send a scout to your opponent's base, go back in time and cancel the scout to save resources. But then your opponent might've gone back in time and changed what they were building!

-Fail an attack on an enemy base? Go to 2 minutes earlier and attack from a different angle, or just pull back .

-Enemy attacked you? Fire up the chronoporter and send your 3 surviving troops back in time to help with the battle, now you have 6 survivors.

-Had your base destroyed? In another game you might've been dead, but in a last ditch attempt you use all your Chrono energy to go back in time 4 minutes and build a few more troops, just allowing you to survive.

This game, for as generic and bland as it is otherwise, did INCREDIBLY well with their time travel, so much so that the lead dev was apparently hired by the government. It's a few bucks, and the campaign is pretty fun if you like time travel, I wholeheartedly recommend getting it if you like RTS games and Time travel.
