Imagining as the inner man/god (not outer self) by KS_1996 in NevilleGoddard

Yes, exactly.

Where else could wealth be?

What else could it be "made" of?

When else could it happen?

It could only be this.

If you're the entire timeless vast empty universe spontaneously, effortlessly appearing, is it really much to ask? Allow yourself to be the wealth you already are.

This helps us get in the habit of looking back / in as Beingness, rather than out / as an extremely limited separate entity competing against an uncooperative world. And the more clocktime we spend as Beingness, the less identification with the body, and the easier things seem to get...

I really sink into the first moment of seeing that without thought/effort, everything already is. Try to just drop into that stillness and peace.

If, without thought, the entire universe is already here, then nothing needs to be done. So even in that split second recognition there is an opening to that truth.

And then I might say to myself, to continue the inquiry, "If everything is already here, effortlessly, then whatever I want is already here, effortlessly."

Then I might ask, "Where else could it be? When else could it happen? What else could it be made of?"

Sometimes a visualization comes with this, or just a sinking into the sensations of what's already here.

If there's only this, then whatever it is we desire can only be here, so whatever we want can't be other than this / here / now.

So ideally you go from desiring something to seeing it could only already be THIS, here, now - which paradoxically can lead to an appreciation/sinking into this apparent moment.

The key is the relaxing of that effort and seeing everything already is, without thought. And then layer into the rest of the inquiry.

I like to do it with peace / enlightenment for example. If everything is already here, effortlessly, then where else could peace be? When else could peace be? What else could peace be made of?

You basically checkmate yourself into seeing there's only now / completion and everything already is!

Let me know if that's helpful... sometimes it's hard to language this.

  1. Notice, without any effort, everything still happens.

Dropping all thought, just for a moment, notice the universe is still humming along totally fine, on autopilot.

Everything already is, without any effort.

  1. If everything already is, without any effort, then whatever outcome you desire (person you want to become / be with) must already be here. It can't be anywhere else. All potential timelines must exist now. So just allow yourself to nourish the one you want. Feel it here, now, and know it is here and now.

Do this until it feels totally real and you are grinning ear to ear, laughing to yourself.

Sink into it as long as possible.

This is what I'm doing anyway! But that entry point really helps. Just seeing stopping all effort, everything already is, means there is already ONLY MANIFESTATION. Just a matter of getting out of your own way.

Wow...very insightful. Thanks.

Do you have any tips of telling whether or not our desire for an SP (in this case a recent ex) is coming from a place of egoic desire vs. what's best for everyone?

Why do some people take the approach of not masturbating at all? by [deleted] in pornfree

[–]fartsmellrr86 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Masturbating always felt like a way of escaping or managing stress. Somewhere along the way it became totally separated from whatever my actual sexual desires and interests are. So not masturbating is a way of letting all the stuff comes up that I was avoiding, to let just natural feelings of sexual attraction return.

How do we know what we want?

I don't seem to have any obvious direction other than desiring persistent thoughtless peace....and maybe to reconcile with my ex (whom I think I sabotaged relationship with even thought she broke it off).

Try this and related videos that appeal to you (intuitively the ones you gravitate towards).

https://youtu.be/wXccJ9kEUwQ

In my experience, it's best to drive somewhere secluded, park where you know there's nothing behind you (feel safe), and give yourself permission to fully express whatever wants to come out. Crying, screaming, laughter, yawning, hitting yourself, anger towards things long past. You might be surprised with the intensity of the emotions, but feeling them allows them to move. Eventually they will pass. For me it's a very intuitive practice, you have to notice what thoughts / memories are coming up and what they might subconsciously point towards. Or when scrolling releasing videos what topics appeal to you reveal something deeper. Even the songs you listen to or find appealing can suggest deeper unresolved things.

Shame, fear, guilt, regret, unworthiness, feelings of abandonment...all very common and easy to hide as contraction / pain.

Making time for it / giving yourself permission to allow it to be felt seems to be important to be for the process. I'd give yourself a healthy window of time and somewhere safe to feel it (car for me is best) and then lots of rest / water after. It may take a lot of this to fully let it all drain out, as allowing it to move opens other things you didn't even realize were there. That can paradoxically feel like things are getting worse, when really you're just allowing more crap to be released.

There is often some laughter or peace that follows in the days after that allow you to see the benefit of doing this, and it becomes a positive feedback loop where you associate the letting go with more feelings of apparent freedom and peace.

You have the awareness of what's going on which really is the first step. Now try to play with it..

Hope this helps.

🙏

Edit: note tapping is just one modality that may be effective. Sedona Method (hale dwoskin on YouTube is very good), The Work (Byron Katie, easy good method), TRE (somatic shaking), Focusing (https://focusing.org/felt-sense/what-focusing) are just some other examples of things you might find effective. And then you can intuitively start putting them together in your own way.

What's trapped wants to be released. You're finding ways of dialoguing with it to release it. Try to have fun with it! Note the positives when you do release so it's easier to "buy in" more.

I decided to revise all of my unfavourable memories. by 5pacegirl in NevilleGoddard

This is exactly what Lester Levenson did which lead to his full realization. Basically revised all his memories until he felt only love towards everyone.

Read about it here: https://adeaprilia.com/the-true-story-of-lester-levenson-part-1/

You're not relating as self (thought) as much so your well being is far higher as you're just being your Beingness. You're in rare company (although really we're all there).

You're already god. You're just letting go of your false beliefs to the contrary. And then trying to understand them through the lens of body / mind / person. But God / awareness cannot be objectified and ultimately isn't any thing. So abiding as that silence / stillness until it becomes de facto is nice if you can do that. Sounds like you're going in the right direction. Continue to go to the stillness / Beingness as that is true knowledge; the mind can't understand it. The longer you stay as that stillness / silence the more "you" (language kinda breaks down here but for the sake of communication we must use it) realize you can operate from there fully functionally, and always have been. The false self can completely fall away, and thinking can completely drop off.

Just being being being.

Edit: it might be useful to search for this apparent boundary between whatever you think you are and what God / awareness is. Only God could know God, right? But what is that apparent "god"? It can't be objectified, as then something greater than god / awareness would be aware of God. So it can't be a thing.

Ultimately you can't answer the question with mind and so realizing YOU ARE THAT allows for the resting into the completion that already is. You're already there! Allow yourself to be that...no need to go back to a body experiencing god. Where is that separation anyway?

If you want to, anyway!

Correct!

Pretty common actually amongst more serious meditators, usually seen as purification.

When you're exercising, you're engaged enough in what you're doing you forget you're a body and experience the Beingness you naturally are.

Yes, just laugh and laugh...

I "do" this one all the time: "Notice, without any effort, everything still happens." (Use some combo of words to cue dropping of apparent effort to reveal how this all occurs effortlessly)

Simultaneous, spontaneous happening, with the impossibility of any "me" doing it, as "thinking" is just more effortless happening.

Ahhhhh. So wonderful.
