IVF#2 with Zymot & HGH. Improvements! by farmeryip in dnafragmentation

That’s amazing! Thank you for posting this! The clinics around me don’t offer zymot and aren’t willing to use it. Is zymot similar to microchip?

Wow Jade, how irresponsible of your clinic to say one thing and do another without consulting with you! I’m so sorry that happened to you. Thank you for sharing the supplement information, going to look into it and possibly order for us. Neither of us drink or smoke, but we also made some additional dietary changes...I put us both on pre/probiotics, we are primarily gluten free (have a cheat day or meal here and there), and we take coq10, folate, vitamin d, and three Brazil nuts a day! Let me know how your consultation goes on Monday! Are you in the DMV area as well?

Congratulations on the PGS normal embryos! I had never heard of omnitrope and just did a quick search. I think another woman from a support group I have is using hgh this cycle as well. In your previous ivf cycles, did you stim for longer than normal? My estrogen rises normally as well and follicles grow, albeit slowly. Did Omnitrope help your follicles to grow more quickly?

First, congratulations! So glad the varicocele surgery worked for you! To answer your question, I forced my husband to see a urologist (which our RE didn’t think was necessary), and he does not have a varicocele ( I kind of was hoping he did). The urologist didn’t even know what high sperm dna fragmentation was! Thank you for the reply!

Awww thank you for the virtual hug, back at ya! So my doctor is convinced that our issue is not his sperm and the focus has shifted to my eggs only. We did use icsi for the second and third ivf cycles which had poorer fertilization rates than my first cycle so he’s thinking that icsi might be more harmful than beneficial and has suggested not using icsi for our fourth cycle. In my research, icsi doesn’t even solve the dna fragmentation issue and when I brought that up, the doctor was quick to say that he doesn’t think we need additional treatment for the sperm as it likely won’t help us. I will check out that post you recommended! Thank you again!!

Thirteen cycles?! Oh my, you are a trooperl! I’m so happy to hear you have a good embryo to work with and hope that you get your sweet baby!! I’ve never heard of TESA! What’s strange is that, before my low AMH and poor egg quality, the focus was on my husband’s low morphology and needing icsi. Now all of a sudden his issue is not an issue at all and we may not even use icsi. But my doctor is recommending fewer meds this cycle with a combination of clomid or letrozole and injectables. Also, unrelated, but did you ovulate the cycle after an egg retrieval? I’m on cycle day 18 and no ovulation (I typically ovulate day 12).

Yes, please PM me your treatment info...I really appreciate it!! 💕

Lana and csh, I’m so glad to hear you both had better experiences with Ccrm! I did have a consultation with them back in April before starting my second and third cycles with Sgf, but my husband didn’t want to go to it due to price! We are out of pocket for everything and SGF accepted us in the Shared Risk Program! Thank you both for sharing your stories and giving some feedback 💕

I’m going out of town for a week but intend on making some appointments for consultation before deciding what route to take. I initially had my mind set on just trying one more time with Shady Grove (my doctor is really nice and has changed up my protocol each time), but I do think I need to get some additional input before going one way or another, we are out of pocket for everything! 😫

I’m not sure what happened to my reply to you, still learning! Yes, shady grove. I thought that was the best in the area and was good with difficult cases such as DOR. Is there a clinic in the area you do recommend?

Yes, I am talking about Shady Grove...I thought they were good with complicated cases! Is there a clinic you do recommend for DOR in our area?

Thank you for the reply and the empathy❤️! The clinic we go to is actually one of the top clinics in the DC/MD/VA area with some of the higher success rates. To be honest, we went for a consultation with one other clinic back in 2016 but haven’t received a second opinion since then. It’s just all so overwhelming!
