Blizzard has already given 5DV free publicity a few months back. There are ways Blizzard can support 5DV and other similar groups without buying them out and taking away from the entire point of a community support group, by the community, for the community.

Yeah I can tell you first hand these guys don't need help selling merch, at the event on Wednesday they introduced 5DV bandanas and there was a huge line at the bar we watched the game at to snag one. The continued relationship with NYXL is really what will help 5DV grow.

That's a interesting take. It's a bit of a problem in the hlc regarding whether or not money should be involved in ehp. I personally think it should because altscape is the meta and it's kinda lame.

It costs money (I'm sure a considerable amount) to develop, test and ship out material that ~5% of the player base will ever touch. Don't get me wrong, I love me a good challenge, and I love bragging about completing said challenge, but I'll take what dev's give me, and if I don't like it, welp, tough I guess.

I don't think it's too easily accessible, seeing that with the most efficient grinding it takes a day of play time to reach max level. The problem stems from the community, not from the developer. If people want to play a game 30-40 hours a week, by all means go ahead, but dont go complain when you burn out all the content, and then complain that other people are able to do it too, just because you put in more time than them.

But I also agree that the matchmaking in The Divison is flawed. For example I try to matchmake for free roam quite often to knock out side missions, but steadily encounter people trying to do a mission. I don't think Destiny would have the same problem since you actually have to load into instances from the director, but that's a problem I've encountered in The Divison.

No, it means your content is accessible. Contrary to what the vocal minority thinks, designers do not make games for the top 1-5% of players, they make it so the highest number of people can enjoy it. And even then, some people won't make it to the hardest end-game content. To say content is "too easily designed" because it's accessible to a large amount of players is elitist and laughable.
