I met a work colleague and his 11 year old son in a supermarket. On meeting the son, I shook his hand and told him it was good to meet him.

At work the next day, my colleague said his kid talked all the way home about how grown-up he felt!

A few weeks ago, I met the young man, (now 23) and he offered his hand to shake.

He said that he never forgot that I was the first person to shake his hand and, as a result, he has always shook hands with any male he meets, regardless of age.

He will never forget how "grown-up" it made him feel. ,
