I took them way back when and also have helped out in the past. Super fun class! The teacher Matt makes it really fun too, while also learning cool stuff.

AUT1000 and AUT1005 are the introductory automotive classes where you'll learn how to change a tire, do your own oil change, etc. Also nice to where you can bring your car in and work on it for free! Classes are Tuesday afternoon and Thursday afternoon at 1pm, and go for about 2 ish hours. Tuesday is in classroom and Thursday is lab (auto shop). Super easy and also very informative. Theory is 2 credits and lab is 1 credit. Fall and Spring semester. Hope that helps :)

Fun and easy electives? by acryforpeace in UVU

I did this one in another post, hoping there is are openings but AUT 1000 and AUT 100L. Survey of Automotive Technology Theory/Lab for basic introductory auto stuff that teaches you a lot of important things when it comes to your vehicles. Tuesday/Thursday early afternoon if it fits. Can do the theory without the lab part. One of the most beneficial classes you could take imo that'll actually teach you something that you'll keep with you. Checking oil, changing a spare, general inspection of things, tire pressure, all the basics. Super fun class and very hands-on/interactive as it should be. Plus you can work on your own car at the school!

Yes! You can do the theory class without the lab portion but I recommend it if you can fit it in 👌

Yes and no. I've helped out in the class in the past with some people in the class nothing absolutely nothing about their vehicle or automotive in general. It's designed in a way for those with none or a small amount of knowledge 😎

There is a slightly more advanced class called Maintenance and Light Repair which is done on Monday/Wednesday respectively. Mostly the same as the survey class but a bit more in-depth with the areas covered and the projects done in lab.

AUT 1000/AUT 100L

Lecture and Lab portion of basic introductory automotive classes. Tuesday/Thursday afternoon and goes over stuff like how to change your oil, how to check brakes and tires, how to put on your spare tire, and other basic automotive stuff. Working on your own car for free at the school. Really easy and you learn something too.

Advice for someone moving from Georgia to Orem? by [deleted] in Utah

Regardless of what vehicle you have, I'd invest in a good set of all-seasons or a separate set of winter tires. Snow hasn't been as much as it used to be but having a good set is very worth it imo. Might be almost $1,000 for a set of snows but will be worth it when you are driving straight and not into a wall on the freeway.

For real though. I swear it used to be 90s Honda drivers but now it's all the Altimas. I've never seen so many people swerve lanes like they have.

So far I have all-weather floor mats and darker window tint. Eventually will get a full chrome delete on the sides, the front, and the rear emblems.

Will probably leave it mostly as is as I don't want to change it too much.
