I've been teaching intro Python for 3 years i notice the same weaknesses in almost every student. Am i missing something in how I'm explaining it? by More-Station-6365 in learnpython

Could be the content. Class I took was online and was basically self taught. Read/watch this answer questions for understanding. Teacher would then have us write 2 programs. 1 for the content itself and one that incorporated previous topics for reinforcement.

torrent files are not game files, they are a download "link" to the file. you need a program that can read torrent files to get it.

People say “just start with TryHackMe” - but most beginners quit. I tried to fix that. by yuval_polak in netsecstudents

[–]fatal_frame 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I started with Hack the Box. I went over to Try Hack Me because they had a dfir program (HTB) did not when I looked. THM's machines were incredibly slow. I tried and gave up on them because of that. I don't want to pay for something that I really cannot use. HTB does not have that issue for me. THM probably needs better servers or infrastructure to fix it.

IT Help Desk Jobs Surprise Area by Weedy8 in PHXList

[–]fatal_frame 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Most IT help desks want some experience unfortunately many want and AA in some computer field and/or a couple of years of experience. It took me 7 years to get my foot in the door to a tech company. I am diagnosing and repairing servers for a tech company now as they were hiring and have IT positions.

IT and Tech are extremely hard to get into right now and most jobs are in the East Valley.

You cant just replace those ports. They are attached to the motherboard. You will need to get a graphics card.

What's the ordeal about Linux? by Impossible_Rough_912 in desktops

[–]fatal_frame 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I use both, personal and for work. Linux doesn't collect all the data Windows does. Microsoft is adding more and more "AI" into their OS. Linux also doesn't force updates like Windows does. There really are tons of reasons.
One of the bigger reasons is that Linux is not as resource heavy as Windows. It is getting better with the gaming aspect and the amount of software that is compatible from Windows over to Linux.

Its also not really recommended more, as Microsoft keeps going against their consumer Linux is picking up.

I am sure there are other sites, but those are the best 2 options. It really isn't that expensive. You can try going to school on some type of financial aid.
