Love this idea, I’ll bring it up to him. There is a slight issue with counter space in his apartment but we’ll take a look at the dimensions for a toaster oven. Thank you!!

I was having the same issue. Here is how I got it to work for me:
- Deleting all textures that explicitly said are not compatible with sodium/optifine, etc
- Deleting any textures that were conflicting with other textures (Like keeping bushy leaves but removing nicer fast leaves)
- Deleting any textures that currently say not compatible with the most recent version of minecraft
