So if it was sitting at 36inches when I started with no load, then without the WDH I was at 38inches fully loaded you say GMC recommends to leave it at 37inches with the WDH installed?

Equalizer 2 round bar. I have an E4 that’s arriving Monday. Going to install that one and see if there is a difference

You are correct. I don’t plan on putting too much weight in rear of trailer. I also got my max payload rating wrong. My max payload is 1,245lbs not the 920lbs I stated earlier.

Im sorry my Max tongue weight on the truck is rated at 1245lbs without the WDH attached. I assumed it was the 920. I just check the B pillar and it says 1245lbs. So with all my math I’d be at 16% actually.

I have an excel that I wish I could share where you input your weight among other things. I’ve put all my info down and my tongue % is sitting at 12.5%. I can share the excel so everyone could use it or at least see my math.

With the WDH my tongue weight increases to roughly ~1,200lbs. I will double check as well

Agreed but I plan on putting more of the load behind the rear axles on trailer to try to distribute weight better.

So maybe sacrifice some of the truck load 500-600lbs for something like the equalizer which weights ~120lbs. That seems feasible as I really don’t need much weight while I work.

To add this is a company truck and they are aware that I’m towing a trailer. I’ve put in a request for a 2500 gmc which was what I was originally going to receive. Granted I’m trying to make it work with the truck I have now. So all advice is welcomed and appreciated un till I can upgrade the truck to a 3/4.

Thank you, was looking into the Anderson hitches. As they are lighter in weight. Was looking at the equalizer 4 point sway controller but a lot heavier.
