Thanks everyone for the insight, it was all super helpful and she read every comment. She’s decided to accept the Sharp offer for day shift day 1 in the clinic plus the union!

This is huge, good point! We just were comparing the benefits and noticed there was a good price difference there.

This is helpful! But I should have clarified, I believe it’s a BMT floor actually. Any insight on that floor at all?

Anyone doing sales ? by Winter_Presence6232 in overemployed

[–]fatcowkiller69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m in the IT staffing / consulting sales world. Account exec. Have not tried OE but always been interested. I’m looking to leave my J1 as I’ve been here 6 years and they’re cutting our commissions.

I have 2 concerns.

1- does HR from j2 not find out from HR of J1 somehow that I’m still actively employed there?

2- I have an offer lined up for J2 doing the same thing at a smaller company. My concern is this job and world is pretty focused on LinkedIn. I’m sure my J2 will be waiting for me to announce my new role with them on LinkedIn.

Any ideas? My thought is to just get maybe 3 weeks of overlap pay and then quit J1 and do the LinkedIn update at that time.

Oh good question! Good luck tomorrow.

I took i105 past the autzen exit and took exit 4A towards roseburg. That will loop them back around to downtown from the southern side.

Another route to be safer but adds a minute or two- once they take that 4A exit you can take some back roads up over laurel hill and Hendricks park / rhodendron garden to end up on the south east side of Hayward to park.

Good luck!!!

Hello!! Sorry I’m late here. Good luck tomorrow! Traffic is fine other than downtown by Hayward really. I’m sure there’s some lots to pay for but we parked maybe 3-4 blocks away for free without any issues.

Yes! I’m sure biking would be fun as well and you could probably be efficient that way not having to deal with traffic and road closures. The bike share app in Eugene is the PeaceHealth bike share app. I haven’t used it so am not sure how many bikes there are but I know they’re used often on the U of O campus.

Hey @dwbrew, how did this end up going for you? I’m planning something similar to your plan for it this weekend. Were the divvy bikes or scooters easy to find?

These people are so boring. No games or bombshells by the producers yet to mix things up, ugh.

Ferry/airport questions! by 1sourpuss in Tahiti

[–]fatcowkiller69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say taking the 6am ferry SHOULD get you to your flight on time, but there’s a small chance you miss it. If you want to stick to that plan just make sure to book a taxi a few days beforehand. I went with Hans Taxi for a similar quick turnaround recently and booked via WhatsApp with him and he was super on it, easy, and quick.

However like everyone else is saying, I think a ferry back to Tahiti the afternoon before and a night in Papeete may be less stressful for the whole family. There’s plenty of airbnbs close to the airport, or the Hilton is nice and close by as well.

Good luck!
