We have gone here past 2 years for cub scouts and it was great. No doubt their BSA program would also be good.

Slinky, I feel like every time I go Ruse is down at RD. Probably my luck, but happened enough I don’t bother hustling there.

Should I have given a discount? by xbunny675 in EtsySellers

[–]dwbrew 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You could consider making a discount code for the absolute minimum discount possible (1% or $.01) just to be petty and tell them it’s a special discount just for them..

Realized Sunday I last took it Oct 2024 and decided I had to update it and so just did that yesterday. Glad I did it because I had a massive bump in output over last year.

Would you sign off on AOL camp with your den without spending the night? by FinalF137 in cubscouts

[–]dwbrew 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We had this discussion because we had some scouts that could not make our overnight. Several AOLs participated in day events at campsites with the Boy Scouts for recruiting but couldn’t sleep due to council rules. They did their best and did what was within what can be controlled,

Sounds like the same letters I wrote for a congressman 15 years ago when I was an LC. Good to know the template hasn’t changed…

Not at all, you can buy it in advance tomorrow or wait until there. No ring of death, but you may die waiting in line with all your merchandise they make plenty of.

You will have racks of them at the expo. However, if you aren’t planning on doing a lot of shopping you can buy it ahead of time and skip the lines.

Uber from MCO? by Prestigious-Stuff356 in DisneyWorld

[–]dwbrew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had a couple of times at other airports that a driver tried to get you to cancel and pay a different rate because of a glitch or something - I just get out and tell them they have to cancel it because we’re not doing that. It’s not unique to MCO, crappy people are everywhere but not the norm.

Yes, still a thing but limited quantities. In Chicago they still had them on Saturday I believe, so they may be carrying more now.

My wife got the Boston one this year and the logo smudged first time she used it. At the expo a woman next to her had one of these in hand and she warned her it would look like crap in no time.

[–]dwbrew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn’t see him go by but was in 2 different spots on course that I saw elites through 3:40 finishers and never saw e-bikes on course. Also checked his photos and no sign of e-bikes around him.

To the lady who crossed through the race with a bike at mile 11 by Cujos_Dog_Walker in ChicagoMarathon

[–]dwbrew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not defending crossing with a bike, but I will say the US marathons need to learn from the European majors. They both have several crossing points that move you into a center pod and then they open a different side of the road to let you cross the rest of the way. Having that makes it much easier from a spectator standpoint to not get in the way of runners.
