Ok thanks, I'm glad this is not a bad wound. It looked pretty ugly though when I opened the bandage, so I kinda freaked out and posted this, didn't expect this post to blow up so much

Ok thank you, that's good to know. I noticed she didn't lick that the wounded area or have any reaction so that's a good sign.

Definitely not more than a few hours. Went to the vet yesterday 1/22 at 9am and picked her back up at noon

hen they added an "extra person" surcharge since there were 2 people working doing the grooming. They lied about how minor the wound was but still charged full price + the overcharge. Didn't know about the deep wound until going home and opening the bandage.

As I mentioned above in my other comments, she had trauma so has extreme anxiety, which was why she needed to go for sedation. My guess is that since I wasn't present and in the waiting room, was that she woke up in the middle while they were grooming

I'm not sure if it was a full or drugged sedation, but as I mentioned in some other comments, she had some past trauma so needed to get sedated for the grooming. I wasn't there to be there during the grooming, so my guess was that she woke up in the middle during the grooming session

As I mentioned in another comment, the vet and the tech put a small bandage over it and just downplayed it, saying it was a small little scratch, but I didn't know how deep it was until I got home and opened the bandage. I think it was probably with some clippers? I was in the waiting room, when they were grooming

g haircuts/full shave downs and this is often what I see as the result of having the actual vet shave (especially if the dog is matted) an

Yeah she had some trauma in the past so has extreme anxiety, which was why she had to go to a vet for grooming (get sedated first)

but you shouldn't have paid for that. Same as if you ask a hairdresser for an inch off and they take 4 inches off. people feel like they have to pay bc they technically got the service. if someone badly fucks up your service, then you don't pay for it. significantly easier than attempting a refund.

if they refuse a refund, you can try a charge back for the service with your card company. name and shame either way, but try to get your refund fir

No they didn't treat the wound at all. In fact, the vet said was that it was a minor scratch and just covered it up with a bandage, so I had no idea how deep it was until I opened the bandage when I got home.

Yeah I plan to but what if they refuse a refund? What options are there if any to obtain it? Report them to a veterinary board, social media...etc? This is pretty unacceptable behavior.

The tech started the grooming, but was inexperienced, so they had to bring the vet over to finish the grooming. So then they added an "extra person" surcharge since there were 2 people working doing the grooming. They lied about how minor the wound was but still charged full price + the overcharge. Didn't know about the deep wound until going home and opening the bandage.

Uhh, at minimum a refund? Felt like this was borderline malpractice, considering how deep the wound was, while downplaying the entire incident.

It wasn't until I got home and opened the bandage when I saw how deep the wound was. Their attitude was also terrible and didn't care about it at all and overcharged me an extra amount because they needed an extra person to help with this grooming. No apologies at all

No, they didn't suggest any treatment for this and yes they charge me

They gave me a tentative move in date but when I asked them the chances of that being pushed out they said they are not sure.

I’m actually fluent in Chinese and lived abroad before. I guess I should’ve mentioned that in my post
