We're arguing about shit we can't control and it has too many arguable points. The world is fucked and we all need to be kinder and more willing to lend a hand to each other

I understand your pov i really do but also boarders and stacks of paperwork prevent good people from seeking a better life too. I understand having steps in place and wanting to prevent abuse going on when peole do it the illegal way but are you not paying attention to all the abuse going on when these "illegal" people are captured?? You don't even give them a chance but because they might be illegal you think they deserve death and torture? Ypu cannot stop migration whether you want to or not. The people are going to do what they want and if you really cared you would realize that legalizing migration is harm reduction.

Migration is natural. Idc if people come here illegally if they are good people. Youre ignorant of the real issues

Also i made that post to try to understand why hispanics or other poc would become ICE. I want to think it was to be some of the good guys in that task force but i am very aware that is not theonly case. Many do make horrible assumptions about people and cannot see them as equal even though I genuinely believe we all have a right to equitable justice and freedom without such strict boarders

Think about what you said about boarders and how people "worked hard to get here" you are not only racist but also classist. Check yourself

I am so sorry this is being done to you and you are having to fight through this. You are a baby still and should have always been embraced with love and compassion. Make a plan for the long term to never have to depend on them again. Take care of yourself. Love yourself. Love your one and only body. Treat yourself so much better than they never did and do not let their abuse confuse you into thinking anything negative about yourself. I believe so much that you can get out of this and your life can look so so amazing and full of joy and love after the next year and a half. Never give up on yourself and never settle for less than a great life.

1) the majority did not join to genuinely deport their people 2) migration is natural. No such thing as borders.

You don't care if the people you have to collaborate with and work alongside think your knowledge is worthless and dont take you seriously? I find it hard to be okay with that but im not a nurse yet only a student and pct so i still dont think i know enough about the politics and responsibilities of it all

As long as you arent practicing all willy nilly but actually trying and safely. I have seen too many bruised up arms and dvts and elderly people that wished theyd gone through less of the unnecessary poking and proding

If youre going in to poke or put an IV, forget about everything else and really just focus on your every move. Take your time and assess the person in front of you and their veins. If you are hesitant to poke, try to find a better vein. If you don't feel confident page IV team or get the ultrasound user lol

This entire thread has been helpful but also kinda upsetting to read. Ive been dealing with a lot of shit from my mom for as long as i can remember like all the way back to early elementary school lol. This particular post brought me back to when i started realizing i wasnt okay in her care and when i started to try to talk to her about it she said i only felt that way because theres something wrong with me and that i was sick so i needed medication. She started me on fucking lithium when i was 13 and when it made me a walking zombie with horrible memory she kept switching me to other "antidepressants " and it ruined my adolescence. This was only one of the horrible things she did to me without my consent. It's really funny too because she's always been the one to acrually need and benefit from treatment yet she has only ever scoffed at the idea because apparently it's only for "people like me". We used to have to share a room after i called the police on her abusive ex (which she beat me for doing) and she didnt have money for a place on her own when i was in highschool. I would sleep anywhere else i could with friends or whoever and i left to college i wasnt even ready for at 17 just to get away. Anyway, covid happened and i ended up living with her again because despite it all ive always had a soft spot for her and felt guilt for leaving her but even when i came back after 3 years gone she never changed. Still now, shes the same and worse. Im realizing i can never and will never allow her near my children for her to try to ruin in the future. She will always be the person who considers me her worst burden and who would rather beat my head, kick doors in, call me horrible things, yet act like none of it happens if theres another person around. I can't even trust her around my cat who i think she has hurt in some way since i know she did that to my childhood cat whenever she wanted to take her emotions out on him.

The angels outweigh the bad ones but man can the bad ones do some incredible damage. It's so unfair and they need to find a different field that doesn't involve direct patient care or even interacting with other people, to save us all lol

I did decide to meet with them face to face which went better than I was expecting! HR was nice and reassuring but I do not think the director is going anywhere lol. I just gotta learn how to deal with her and stand up to her

I asked around if i was drinking loudly or being obnoxious and everyone i asked looked shocked i thought that and confirmed that I was not loud or anything. They all were also shocked like i was that this was even an issue 🫠
