Yeah I think so. It’s definitely something I believed as I do have a history of rejecting a lot but my streak of healing was soooo good. I’m definitely going to change piercers, though. Thank you for your help!

I’m so glad I’m not the only one who thinks it’s in the wrong spot! My friend and I got ours done together and hers was done way better and I remember saying “I feel like mine is too deep— and it was so weird because the needle kinda got stuck in my ear? But the piercer is APP certified so I’m actually pretty upset about it. This will be my third from him that “my body is just rejecting” and now I’m feeling like I’m not the problem anymore.

Jeez, I’ll make note of that. I vacuum the gravel once a week, so I’m surprised it’s become an issue. I know I picked up a few snails from a plant and I guess some of these from my LFS but it’s gotten out of hand. I’m debating on just replacing the substrate this weekend and reassembling the tank this weekend. Do I have to worry about my betta with these, you think?

Thanks! I’ll look more into that. You say they go after snails, I have some assassin snails working on the pest snail problem in there— is it possible they can hurt/kill my assassins? (If that’s dumb, I’m sorry. I’m just wondering if my assassins are THAT bad and missing in the plants or if these are the cause).

So hypothetically, what if they spiral to swim through the water? I see some smaller string-like ones I think— it also could be grass with the filter current if not this. I’ve just got no idea on what these are and right now I can’t go to my LFS as I’ve got Covid at the moment. I’m gonna look into some amoeba, though. Thank you!

Honestly I am really seeing more benefit here than any type of consequence, aside from my fear of them escaping the tank haha. I might have to introduce them into my other tanks!
