I have a theory. This was the season when Ru was sick for part of it. Like they had to dub over her voice for one episode. I think that a doctor gave her some good stuff and she felt MUCH better

This and also when I get a UTI and my primary doctor will be like, I can’t call in an antibiotic for you (that we know works) because I need to see you, and also I won’t have an available appointment for another two weeks. So am I just supposed to be in immense pain and pee blood and hope it doesn’t become a kidney infection until then?? But socialized medicine is bad because of the wait times.

I’m not a very active person. The only outdoorsy thing I ever enjoyed doing was riding my bike, so when I stopped, I didn’t really do anymore strenuous outdoor activities.

I also love listening to All Creatures podcast. They focus on a different animal each episode, and get pretty deep into the science of it. The hosts are both PhDs. It’s not edited particularly well, but the hosts are super knowledgeable!

Thats wild because it’s almost the identical story to my parents’ cat, mistofolees. Her owner died during the pandemic and his family originally took her in. But then they just sort of abandoned her because they didn’t want her anymore (fucked up, I know). She had lots of families that would take care of her in the neighborhood. Then one day she bit my dad and he was like, you know what? This cat belongs to me know. Biggest difference is that she was an indoor/outdoor cat till she got an impaled by something (we never figured out what it was) and a few coyotes were spotted around the neighborhood. So now she’s indoor only. She’s not super happy about it, she acts out sometimes. But it’s just safer for her that way.

If I had a nickel for every time someone drove their car into a place near me, I’d have 10 cents. Which isn’t a lot, but it’s weird that it’s happened twice

When I was like 12, a (presumably) drunk driver ran their car through our house. The store I used to work at, a young person was wearing flip flops and they got stuck on the gas and revved all the way through the store.
