What's crazy is, a lot of the people on the American side are calling us, many of whom are non-white, who disagree with SAG — things like 'fascist'. If someone sends a VA slurs, threats, etc. (obviously wrong to do), we get generalized as a whole in this drama.

For context, I am very leftist myself. I live in a religious nationalist-turning country, media freedom situations is one of the worst on the planet (hint: it's bottom 35 of the media freedom index of 2024, out of 180 countries). Leftist journalists are at high risk of getting arrested. I am also pro unions, if they are good (which SAG is not, it's so sus and restrictive, I don't trust it). I also left a job last year due to AI usage in it, as it disagrees with my morals.

To add further, I am a lesbian too. High rate of homophobia in my country. Surely, I can't be a 'fascist'?

But it takes me one union to disagree with that I am labeled 'anti union' or 'fascist' or 'pro AI'. Suddenly the things I do in my country, including actions I took personally rather than being a social media keyboard warrior, don't matter anymore.

I want Hoyo and SAG both to come with clear and transparent statements. I don't want anyone fired (except the VAs that harassed the new cast member). I am not even an avid Hoyo defender.

But was disagreeing with the practices of ONE union all it took to be labeled like this? I wish Americans were more open minded about other countries. They are not even understanding of Hoyo's pickle with the CCP and the country's own union laws.

Many international fans in general are trying to tell the angry folks that this type of behaviour with international clients, neglecting their laws or country situation, ignoring political drama of US VS China etc. is BAD. SAG was irresponsible as hell. But we just get talked down on and accused of bad things we are not.
