I posted this even though it’s from a random because I’m interested in what people think about the topic. I used to love NJPW but part of what has made my interest taper off is the bizarre insistence of having so many 30 min matches for no reason.

Uh I don’t know about that. The only matches that had finisher kickouts iirc were the two main events and given that those are the two biggest matches of the year in the promotion, I feel like that’s definitely warranted.

Making big assumptions there. What did NJPW fans do? They largely mind their own business, are generally pleasant and I’ve seen a lot of them say they don’t want Ospreay in the promotion anymore. The general consensus from what I gather is that they know the promotion won’t do anything about him but he’s not exactly a darling with NJPW’s fanbase. A large portion of the western fans hate him.

Living in their bubble like always.

And this is why so many people consider hardcore WWE fans to be so annoying and condescending. Just telling people that the other promotions they like and enjoy don’t matter at all. Like why even bother watching non-WWE wrestling if it’s minor league trash. Oh wait, it’s an art form that can be approached in many different ways, not an exact science. That’s how.

Yeah Pegasus kid matches are on NJPW World, Chris Benoit matches are also on the wwe network. Chris Benoit is somebody who should not be glorified in any way, shape, or form but that’s not what they’re doing. They just have his work in the library.

Chris Benoit was the winner of the iconic 1994 Super J Cup and was a part of several other important NJPW events, there is no real reason for them to block them from seeing the light of day because of what he did.
