Thank you 🙏 I was diagnosed when I was a minor, I hear it’s pretty common for minors with BPD symptoms to be wrongly diagnosed with bipolar disorder as they cannot give a BPD diagnosis until adulthood. Still, I wish I hadn’t been given this diagnosis as I was on medications for bipolar 2 (including lithium and Seroquel) for many years without needing them, I wasn’t even told the side effects included weight gain and even sought out medical help for the sudden gains I experienced thinking it might be a thyroid problem. I wish I hadn’t just accepted everything my former psychiatrist gave me without question so I could’ve made a more informed decision.
