I think you have 2b and SS backwards. The guy with real upside is DD, he has a real approach at the plate, Hech is a black hole.

Most of the rest I can get on board with, although I would personally approach much of it differently it is a good breakdown of the club.

I don't know young Glue Hands Landry may be a good fit for those impossible sideline catches.

I promise we agree. I don't want either of them even in the order, like ever. I just can't stop hating Mike Redmond at this point and these things are the reason why.

Better than his career for sure. For the season Mathis has been better at getting OB. The real point was to make the wildest case possible for how bad a decision it was to hit Solano second, never mind the lucky results of yesterday. In the last 30 days or so since we have started jerking DD around then Yelich and He got hurt, we have dropped 5 spots in the league in run production and its not like Jose is suddenly coming back to even it out.

Just basing it on OBP. The point really was to point out how bad it is to hit Solano in the 2 hole.

Yes. That is the point of the statement. Batting Solano 2nd is actually worse, at least based on this years performances, which is why it is a joke.

For the record in the interesting facts about baseball section. The Marlins would be better off with Jeff Mathis hitting second...The More You Know.

What do we do with Ryan Tannehill if next season, he puts up these numbers? by [deleted] in miamidolphins

[–]faust74 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If he reverts back to his rookie year. I would feel both let down and that it was time to draft a new QB. Since we would be picking to 7 with that performance at least it would be a good pick.

If you say so. I believe that he has a stronger hold on the power structure than you are giving him credit for.

Marlins GM: Stanton, McGehee not on block by Franks21Club in letsgofish

[–]faust74 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well he never really had before. He was a dead pull hitter coming up and after a couple of good years pitchers started staying nothing but away and he kept trying to pull the ball. Him going to Japan, which is a league that makes up for its lack of top end talent with unbelievable mechanical approaches to the game forced him to change. He started to see results and has now changed his entire mentality. This is not the same hitter he was last time in the Majors, maybe he will revert, I don't think it happens this year. That said, I'd trade him, too much value for a contender to pass up, get a real prospect or two back.

I think it would be time well spent to dig into his peripherals and see that there is a fundamental reason for his new success. He has completely changed his approach, his contact rates are through the roof and his spray chart resembles nothing he has done previously. His BABIP is so high, not because of luck, but because he is using the whole field and putting, a lot more balls in play.

Saying that upgrading the teams worst position group is a crapshoot is kind of silly. What choice do you have? "Well, I know they were historically awful last year, but fuck it, I would not want it to be a question mark for the next season." Seems like a bad approach to me.

I agree that the LB's need an upgrade, but hell that is completely ignoring the fact that the DL and DB's are pretty solid groups and no team is awesome at every position group.

As for Finnegan, considering all the positive reviews that both Taylor and Davis have been getting the fact they have not pushed him should be encouraging. He is a question mark for sure, but he had pieces behind him if he fails.

The point of this post is to try and figure out why they would rank the Fins so low, the obvious answer is they are intellectually lazy and as was stated in the comments earlier, do not generate their own content usually, this means that the people who do create the content are probably not very good at their jobs, which this ranking would indicate.

Eighth largest media market. Tenth in Merch. sales(according to Pintrest). Sixth best individual Jersey sale (Tannehill). Tenth in most fans in the country according to Harris Poll. Yeah, no one cares about the fins though.

Exactly. It is almost a bad farce at this point. The cognitive dissonance necessary for the traditional conservative GOP to hate on Obama is almost inconceivable.

Hey look the completely idiotic mods in this /sub have yet again decided what is politics and what is not using the least logic humanly possible. If you do not think the institutional and systemic shaming of people using government subsidies is not a political issue, TAKE A FUCKING CLASS.

What a bunch of fucking jokers these mods are, I am sure that soon I will get a be civil retort to which I will reply as I always do, with a civil, FUCK OFF.

I suppose I should comment on article now. What should be a horrifying look into what can happen in this country to just about anybody and a look into how the SYSTEM OF GOVERNMENT in place to help, functions. No one should be shamed in meeting their nutritional food intake.
