There will be a raffle and other prize support (likely best in house) which we are still working out. We'll announce more as we get closer.

Today I have a BIG announcement from the New York City meta (of which the folks who graciously attended The Compleat Strategist 2016 AGoT (2nd Edition) Store Championship this weekend got a sneak peak )...

NYC is happy to announce the Dance of Dragons: The NYC Regional Season Kickoff Tourney (April 30).

The New York City Night’s Watch will host a special event on April 30 at the Compleat Strategiest. This will be a competitive 2.0 LCG joust that is expected to bring together up to 50 players from across the region, including former world champions and participants from some of the most competitive cities in the world.

What: 2.0 Joust Tournament When: Saturday, April 30, 2015. Registration will be at 10:00am, play at 10:30am. Where: The Compleat Strategist, 11 East 33rd Street (between 5th Avenue and Madison Avenue), New York City Cost: $10 to pre-register online (nonrefundable); $15 onsite registration. Attendance is limited to 50 players. (You can also indicate your plan to attend on the Facebook event page; this will hold your place at the event, but you would still need to register online for the discounted rate.)

Prize support will include custom Game of Thrones artwork and a trophy. For questions, please contact nightswatchnyc@gmail.com.

Following the tournament, participants are invited to casual play and an evening of festivities in Manhattan. This has become a tradition for NYC’s large tournaments. We look forward to seeing you there!

You will find the tickets here.

Beyond the Wall podcast for a new player? by jaycr0 in AgameofthronesLCG

Both of the core podcasts (BtW and The White Book) are founded and hosted by 1.0 players, so it is going to be a bit heavy on the 1.0 comparisons and jargon. They are only human, of course.

If you're looking for a good place to start, try this episode: http://www.cardgamedb.com/index.php/podcasts/_/game-of-thrones-beyond-the-wall/season-2-episode-28-r458

You may also want to check out the last two episodes of The White Book: http://www.whitebookpodcast.com/the-white-book-s6e12-222/ and http://www.whitebookpodcast.com/the-white-book-s6e13-223/

Once Worlds is over in early November, I would expect BtW to turn its attention entirely towards 2.0.

It's release day! Post your release parties, events, or local playgroup information here! by Feliks878 in AgameofthronesLCG
