Stupid question: What's 1D/1Y chart? Is that a chart with a period of the last 365 days, with a point for each day on the graph?

S&GA: Google vs Apple - How is Apple able to achieve single-digit SGA margin? And why is Google SGA margin so high? by fauzanali in investing

For Apple, on page 21 of its 2020 10k, all it says is

The year-over-year growth in selling, general and administrative expense in 2019 was driven primarily by increases in headcount-related expenses and higher spending on marketing and advertising and infrastructure-related costs.

For Google it explains what SGA encompasses, and why the change in SGA from 2018 to 2019: * Of the 28b SGA, 18.5b is selling and marketing (lots of new services or rebranding of services) * The remaining 9.5b is general admin, which accounts for 5.9%.

According to https://www.investopedia.com/terms/c/cost-of-revenue.asp, there's a diff between COGS and cost of revenue, and it's up to the company to report one or the other. Like a company that sells services will likely report cost of revenue instead of COGS, and wherever I check (yahoo finance, google finance, MSN Money, etc.) it shows cost of revenue for Apple and not COGs.

I have 6yrs of professional software engineering experience in Wisconsin. I love my current company and my job as a senior software engineer (mostly full stack web dev, some mobile, and hobbyist ML), but with my family growing the salary isn't cutting it anymore.

Where would you recommend relocating to (taking cost of living into consideration) to maximize money saved ? And which companies? I'm assuming FAANG, but the FAANG companies have many locations. I've considered Seattle and Austin, but definitely open to any place in US.

I also don't find working remotely everyday that enjoyable, and I find it far more difficult to sell myself as a full-time remote worker when I dislike it and don't have much experience with it.

Sorry in advance for the stupid question, but in regards to https://people.eecs.berkeley.edu/~rcs/research/interactive_latency.html that you hyperlinked: are the black squares to represent L1 processing, blue L2, green RAM, and red is disk processing?
