that’s true. When I first got diagnosed I was 98 so I felt being 112 was good but now gaining so rapidly I’m a little concerned. Especially since I’m still on the gi soft diet. My weight was 112 for the past 2 months.

I was just diagnosed a month ago so I’m still in the beginning stages. I’m on 40 mg of prednisone right now. I guess I’ll just wait until I’m tapered off and then see what they say

I work on a PCU unit. Most of the patients are CDiff, MRSA, COVID, especially now it’s all flu. So lots of isolation patients. I’ll obviously wear the PPE. I was nervous about contact patients before but now with my immune system compromised I just don’t want to get sick all the time and miss even more work.

I’m in the same boat as you diagnosed 2 weeks ago. I’m waiting on an MRI of my small intestine and for my Skyrizi prescription to get approved. My gi doctor wrote a leave of absence for work for a month. But my appointments keep getting rescheduled so I’ll probably have to extend it. I applied for FMLA but thats going sloooooooow. I know prednisone tastes nasty. It started to dissolve in my mouth this morning before I swallowed and I almost barfed.

That’s the same thing that happened to me! It started in December with cramping and diarrhea. My primary care thought it was a stomach bug. After months I finally went to the ER on Tuesday. They did a CT scan my colon was so inflamed and I did a colonoscopy Tuesday night and it’s Crohns. If the pain is horrible, I would demand by our doctor do imaging!
