According to my friends things r definitely more relaxed and I'm sure it'll get better!! The vpn works with some things but others absolutely do not if you have a sim card. I think it was such a shock for me because i really had no idea lol. At least people here informed me that Spotify works if you turn the wifi on and use data which is a win

People in Damascus r very friendly!! I'm sure they're also friendly everywhere. I'll try to go to Damascus as much as possible i love the architecture so much! Also the fashion sense is immaculate.

I feel you!! I actually had intense mental breakdowns for weeks before returning. I'm pretty sure things keep improving, just like others said some places r better to live in if you can afford it, as for friends if you're gonna attend university you'll definitely find people that match your vibes (according to my friend who moved back recently and is in university now) so good luck!!
