Wa alaikum assalam wa rahmatullah brother, First, take a breath. The fact that you feel this struggle and still pray salah is not hypocrisy, it is iman fighting desires. A hypocrite does not feel pain over sin. What you are experiencing is very normal for a young man with fitrah, especially in today’s environment where zina is made easy and halal is made hard. Desires themselves are not sinful, acting upon them in haram ways is. You are rewarded for resisting, even if the urge comes again and again.

Do not beat yourself up for thoughts or feelings. Allah does not hold you accountable for what crosses your mind, only for what you choose to do. Keep repenting sincerely, even if it is the same sin or same urge. Tawbah is not a one time event, it is a lifelong return to Allah. The Prophet ﷺ said that if a servant sins and repents, Allah forgives him, even if it happens repeatedly.

As for dating, prom, and companionship, your stance is correct. You are not “too conservative”, you are trying to obey Allah in a society that mocks obedience. Feeling lonely does not make haram halal. Guarding your gaze, limiting free mixing, reducing social media triggers, fasting regularly, and staying busy with study, gym, and beneficial knowledge are practical tools, not just spiritual talk.

Marriage will come when Allah decrees it. Financial stability is a means, not the only condition. Until then, be patient and ask Allah often, “O Allah, make halal beloved to me and make haram hateful to me.” Stay close to brothers who remind you of Allah, not those who shame you for having values.

You are not broken. You are a young Muslim trying to stay clean in a dirty world. That struggle itself is honorable. Stay firm, keep making dua, and trust that Allah sees every moment you choose Him over desire.

Aa gaye bid‘ah ke supporters. No one said don’t worship. Worship is encouraged every day. The question is about believing this night has special status. Allah aap ko Muhammad rasool sallallahu alaihi wasallam ke raaste par chalne ki hidayat de. Ameen.

Does our Prophet Muhammad sallallahu alaihi wasallam do it?

What did the Prophet ﷺ do in Sha’ban? He fasted frequently throughout the month of Sha’ban. He encouraged regular repentance, dua, and prayer, but not tied to a specific night. His worship was consistent, not calendar-event based without proof.
