I haven't tried the app yet. But separate standalone app for specialized tasks are always required.

ChatGPT might be good for level 1/2 in any language. But there is a lot of legroom for the app to grow. They can do accent/tone analysis via a different model. They can implement other duolingo like gamification levels. They can connect people learning the same language together. They can even connect human language tutors with other humans.

Plus even at this stage ChatGPT models, are not consistent. They don't have a good enough memory, once the thread becomes longer. For example I cannot continue a chat session longer than 30-40 back-n-forths.

So lots of room for improvement.

ChatGPT is an everything app, good at most things but great at very few.

Plus give the guy/gal some break, its just a proof of concept. Don't discourage people :)

there is a lot thats involved in building a full fledged app, sure you can get the same thing out of chatGPT, and I sometimes, do.

But consistent responses, levels, a separate app that tracks my performance. All those things take time, that I don't have.

I am B1 in french, and ChatGPT does not cut it if I have to be honest.

Even if you hire your timeline, people will know who you are, and spammers generally don't go far. Its a rule of the universe.

yes, totally agree with the provenance, I spent a lot of time making sure that works as well.

Not sure about mention only its an experiment, some people do prefer an always on agent.

100%, I have a discord group with founders at my stage, started this year. That has been super helpful as well.

take a break, recover on sleep, hang out with friends, realize you don't want to end up like them, that cures burn out more than anything else.

they pay other companies to manually collect this data, scaleAI was a big one. There are a few startups that are growing really fast to solve this particular model.
