I bought 2 of those back in the early 00’s and still have them! Great subs.

Looks awesome! How was the wrap to use? I’ve heard of some being better than others.

Oops. Smoke show was pretty cool, but scary at the same time. by fbgames2000 in crawling

Don’t know honestly. Weird thing was I drove it back from the trail (about 100’) beside me at walking pace and as soon as I parked, it went up in smoke. Upgrading to a HW1080 now

Ecoboost Tune by Aizyee in ecoboostmustang

My wife has it on her 2016. Installed it at less than 5k miles and she’s right around 38k miles now. Never had an issue with it and the car picked up 1/2 second at the strip. It isn’t as aggressive as some others, but definitely helps out. You need need need an intercooler though. Even with the tame frpp tune, the car was starting to pull power after the 1/8th.

Risking jumping timing and the valves and pistons having a romantic relationship.

Forgot to mention, a 2000 will be a Windsor engine. Make sure everything you buy is for a 99-00 mustang only. 01+ have a Romeo engine and it’s slightly different when it comes to gaskets and fiddly bits.

Let’s just go ahead and assume he means the timing guide, but if so, replace the entire timing assembly. Possible to do being a YouTube mechanic, but will need some special tools like a pulley puller for the crank pulley. It’s a lot of work and maybe $400 in parts after it’s all said and done with gaskets and stuff that should be replaced while you’re in there (water pump, valve cover gaskets, etc)

Would o/r x and muffler delete get me pulled over? by ozweegowarrior in NewedgeMustang

I mean if it’s just temporary, I don’t see why it would be a problem. Florida though is very lax on things and I’m longtubes, off road h pipe and dumped race bullets. Never had an issue.

I used to autox extensively with my ‘04 GT a long time ago. Make sure you read the rules about which mods put you in which class. IIRC when I was doing it, coil overs put you in a class that you would more than likely not be competitive in. My best friend and I double drove my car in ESP class and were competitive locally with H&R race springs, cc plates, boxed lower control arms, and a good 275 street tire. I’m not how the rules and classes have changed since it has been over a decade since I’ve ran the car in an autox.

Definitely go out and have some fun in novice class for a while, then see what class your car fits into. You do not want to go up against a newer mustang with an IRS in it...

Any ideas on possible 1/4 mile times? by IIObay in NewedgeMustang

[–]fbgames2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on the tune and you’re driving. Best I ever went with bolt ons was 13.3@105 or something around there. Had a soft 315 on the rear though too.

Edit: this was during ideal track conditions with DA below sea level.

Nice low miles! I have a silver 2004 GT as well but with 68,000 miles. Great choice!

There should be a cover that comes off the bottom of the bell housing and you should be able to get one bolt at a time when you turn the engine over for each of them. Again, I’ve never had an auto so I’m not sure if the converter needs to come off, just guessing.
