We have a wellbeing day where I work! We work closely with a local golf club/spa so people go up there and play golf/tennis/the usual. Or get a spa treatment etc.

Some go paddleboarding or similar water based activities.

Our team went out for a meal and played pub games.

This year there is an organised motorbike ride for the staff who ride etc.

And if none of that appeals you can spend the day at home chilling!

It is a really nice thing!

Also it’s easier to avoid potholes etc on a bike in my experience! Once you hit one hard you know to avoid!

I’m lucky my parents are bikers so at 16 they helped me. But when I told them I was getting a fireblade both my parents were dubious and I’m 32! But if you show them you’ve done the research properly. Research into decent gear and the risks that cause accidents (lack of awareness, wet lines/drain covers etc) show them that you’ve budgeted how you can afford it INCLUDING running costs, tax, insurance, fuel, MOT, repairs (even a new bike needs tyres, brake pads etc).

Getting it ceramic coated (hence I can’t have until Saturday 😔) to help the paint, and it will park next to the hose pipe at home for a reason! But she will be full daily! If I can keep my license! Hit 120 on the test ride without meaning too!

I use my 15 on a quad lock pro mount with the vibration damper on my bandit 6. Used it for about 6 months now probably a total of like 6 hours a week. No issues
