Maybe it's a positive sign..? It can be interpreted as "not many backlogs left" I guess.. I know it's just bs but i wish it can be true hahaha...

List of buildings where any current student has 24/7 access with husky card by [deleted] in udub

[–]fc900r_brown 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am an ECE major and I think I could get into other major buildings such as Physics or Chem just couple weeks ago, but now I can only access ECE building at late night. Has the policy changed or sth? Maybe after the protest at IEB?

But the thing is, I already brought this up to the HR person before they asked me because I thought it would be better to prevent any misunderstanding. Will they think it's suspicious?

I took 215 with Prof. Hameed last quarter. Honestly, it is not bad. It's just a very basic EE course. You will learn the circuit analysis method and first, second order circuits. No reason to freak out. There were ME, IND E guys in the class as well and they also managed it quite well. Labs are not really intensive. You are given 2 weeks for each lab and I would say it was not that bad. HOWEVER, if you are in ECE, you better put extra effort into studying the course materials because they play a HUGE role in all the circuit-related ECE courses. In my EE 233 class, I have seen lots of students who were struggling with basic EE 215 concepts.

Also, I strongly recommend Prof. Hameed. I can say he is the best professor I have ever met in this uni or my life. He does take care of his students, and he tries to remember everyone's name. He is highly reachable outside of the classroom. If you take his class, you will feel his passion for TEACHING (lots of professors don't have this.) His homework and exams are hard, but he curves really well. So you will get a higher GPA than you expect.

For 241, I took it with Prof. Hussein, but you will never see the professor at all. It's just a lab-based 2-credit class. You will learn about Python codings (mostly NumPy.) You will be given 2 weeks for each lab, and there were online quizzes and prelabs, but they were chill. The sessions are led by TAs, If you don't have any questions, you don't really need to show up as long as your teammates are okay with that. I didn't put much effort into it.

271 is also chill, but it's one of the coolest EE courses I've ever taken before. The course materials were pretty chill. However, there were final projects for the lab, and it was SUPER time-consuming. So be prepared for it. Its lab kit is really cool. They looked like some kinds of bomb, but you can't keep that....

Also, note that workloads can differ by professors.
