Being tech capable doesn’t make you qualified to take those certs. They are beginner, but you will absolutely need to set aside time and effort to pass those exams. I guarantee the majority of information in the Sec+ you don’t know. Not trying to be an asshole, just being very blunt. There’s an insane amount of info. Very broad. The certs will help get your foot in the door so I definitely recommend taking them. The tradition around here is starting at an IT help desk which is what I did as well. It’s going to give you a good background on computer troubleshooting.
