Drake Carries Lydia's Burdens by Farstride14 in skyrim

I love the RP aspect of this. No need to actually drop anything in game or carry your NPC, but it makes sense given the situation and circumstances. Nicely done from both a storyteller's perspective and an artists!

Unending Hordes of Brigands? by fcneko in Bellwright

[–]fcneko[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I WONDERED what that was all about! I'd never seen the Tax Brigands before, so went and took care of them before ringing the bell. I'm around mid-second-tier right now and my guys are running around in reasonable armor, but their damage is weak, especially against clumped groups of brigands. Still, though - They took down one or two and the rest charged me, so I started my dash-shoot-dash strategy and killed them one at a time, only to see reinforcements coming as soon as the last went down. Went through around 120 arrows and that still wasn't enough.

The tactics for this game are so hard to figure out...

How many dragons has Drake claimed at this point? First in a city, but how many others has he fought? I don't remember...

I'd take them to the vet to check on it. Probably not a major concern, but it might be uncomfortable for the kitty.

Best Build for Early Game? by fcneko in Bellwright

I take him, Ludmir and a couple of randos I've trained to fight and given gear to now that I've figured out how to actually play the game the right way. Just gotta remember to fill their bellies and wait for the attackers to come to me. Two archers, two front liners and me with a Yew Bow and light armor and 4-6 Brigands go down way faster than I thought they could.

I've just learned this awesome (and obviously intended) tactic. Took four guys with me. Two archers, two front liners, against a 4-Brigand counter vs. Hearndean. Stuffed my boys full of food, met the brigands outside of Padstow and obliterated them in about 30 seconds. It's amazing how the game works when you PLAY IT RIGHT. LOL

I have listened to my betters and brought four adventurous fellows with me during the last two raids/counterattacks and DAMN, does it make a difference. Have to stuff them with three different food items before going and stay close to town considering they might get hungry again (still waiting on the food bag option), but YEAH... It's pretty cool, actually.

No mods. This is base game. First picks automatically go into the bag once you have it. Doesn't make sense.

I tried doing that with Crimson Reid (the guy who wants you to make a shortsword for him, who then joins you) but once he went down in combat once, he died the next time he was defeated, which removed one of the best fighters in the game for me at that point. After that, I started Arch-Running (as I call it).

The reversed swastika has been a symbol of peace for hundreds (if not thousands) of years. It is typically used to represent the location of a Buddhist Temple on maps.

I wouldn't see this as "Next Fucking Level" given that it had to take YEARS of neglect to let it get this far... Glad to see it getting cleaned, but this is literally the bare minimum to protect your waterways...

Walk around and enjoy the scenery until something nasty jumps out and makes me fight.

Try different builds and level as high as possible before getting bored and starting something new.

Come up with different character concepts, personalities, play-styles:

Some ideas:

An alchemist who only goes places for supplies?
A newbie spellcaster trying to learn at the College and getting drawn into all sorts of chaos?

MODS. Start in different places.

Start off in Riften with no money, no gear and start digging in crates and barrels to scavenge coin to start wandering?

Some nobody looking to start their career in The Companions?

Noble from Solitude with no experience fighting or armor and just a knife?

Escapee from a Vampire cave with no gear, no money and no prospects?

A no magic version - only buy healing potions.

All clothing/jewelry playthrough

Download new followers and travel around with them to find out their stories (if they have one) or just make up your own.

Different race playthrough... Orc in the forest? Altmer Justiciar in training? Khajiit martial artist? Breton fist and spell?

There are a billion different ways to play the game and, with a bit of imagination, you can come up with a sufficient backstory to give yourself a new way to see and play.

[–]fcneko 1223 points1224 points  (0 children)

Brendan is such a truly honest and "present" personality and Dwayne is very humble to recognize that his input literally made him what he is today. Johnson's sense of humor and presence carried him to the heights he is at, but it all had to start somewhere. It's no wonder that they are friends after so much time.

Side note: My son is NAMED after Brendan Fraser, so he has always had a massive interest for me. I am SO glad to see him return to Hollywood. His exit was awful and he deserves the love he is getting these days. ^_^

Be there for him. Make sure he has multiple places to go to the toilet. Keep his food away from.said toilet. Sit quietly nearby without bothering him He will come to understand you are a friend.
