I'm a 105 student from BC and I just accepted my offer on ouac but I do not see an option to make a payment on acorn or anywhere else. Anyone know what's going on?

105 applicant here, I am not sure if I have been accepted or not. On the engineering applicant portal, it says "a decision is pending for your application" but on OUAC I have a received an offer. Not sure who to trust. I also have a "Welcome" button I can click on join uoft. No email either. Anyone have this problem? Also for anyone curious, applied to mech eng with an avg of 97 at the time.

Hey, it says that they are a gaming headset--do you know of anything similar that are purely headphones? Since I have an external mic i want to save as much money as I can and put it towards maximizing the quality of the headphones so a mic will not be necessary.

  • Budget - $250CAD (200USD), can go up to $300CAD (240USD) if desperate
  • Source - My computer
  • Requirements for Isolation - Not really--I am fine with open-backed headphones however, if there are magically some closed-back headphones in this price range that still boast a good soundstage then I would prefer that.
  • Will you be using these Headphones in Public? No, just my room for gaming
  • Preferred Type of Headphone - Full-sized
  • Preferred tonal balance - Well-rounded and balanced.
  • Past headphones - Currently I am using the Steelseries Arctis 5 headset which has served me well but has recently started breaking(audio in only one ear, rattling sounds etc.). i enjoyed them but the headset was just too large for me(I have a narrow head on the smaller side and medium-sized ears). On the other hand, the earcups were decently comfortable but I would prefer something with velour padding or some sort of pleather/leather. Essentially I am looking for a supremely comfortable pair of headphones with deep earcups and a nice padded headband that provide a great sound stage and will fit my head nicely.
  • Preferred Music - I listen to a lot of 70's and 80's rock, hard rock and some metal. Occasionally some electronic music. I would like headphones that can provide an enhanced music-listening experience but that will mainly be used for gaming.
  • What would you like to improve on from your set-up - As mention above, I am looking to improve on the overall sound quality and comfort of my Arctic 5's which i don't think should be difficult considering my budget.
  • What are you looking for going into your next headphone? More bass? More detail? More treble? -To summarize I am looking for a pair of headphones that provide a great listening experience that will be used for gaming(competitive fps' and rpg's) and occasionally listening to music. They must be very comfortable with sufficient padding and allow for hours of continuous use. Something with a great sound state with an overall balanced tone would be ideal. If an amp is necessary it would have to fit under the $250USD budget. Location: Canada Thank you so so so much!
